"The pictures of this listing are an accurate showing of the house.
It is great that visitors can drive right up to the front steps to unload. The rustic wood look inside is delightfully warm. The home is easy to find and a short, direct drive to Asheville. The house feels well insulated from neighbors by trees and has a pleasant view from the deck.
The house was spotlessly clean, plenty of room to put our supplies in the kitchen. It was funny that there were already 4 cork screws in the drawer and the only think I accidentally left behind was mine so now there are 5!
Do heed the warning about 4-wheel drive needed, if snowing, that road looks like it would be a challenge in slippery conditions... glad my group was spared that challenge!
The owner of this property was easy to work with and communicated clearly with me before and after the visit."

"What a wonderful cabin to relax and enjoy the beautiful views of the Smoky Mountains! This cabin was so comfortable and had everything you could need. The décor was perfect for the mountains and it was very well designed for privacy for multiple groups or couples. The cabin is located perfectly between Cashiers and Highlands so you could enjoy both areas and they were only a 10-15 minute drive on each side. We enjoyed morning walks on the street and access to wonderful trails only 5 minutes away. We typically stay at the Old Edwards Inn but we really enjoyed staying here and we got to experience different aspects of the area that you don't get to see if you stay in town.
The owner is so organized and had all the information sent to us along with recommendations for the area on where to eat and what to do while on our vacation. It was such an easy experience. We will definitely be back up to stay at this cabin and would recommend this to anyone who wants a relaxing escape.

"We just returned from a week spent at this lovely home. We booked online without seeing the house in person. What a great surprise! The pictures didn't do it justice. There was plenty of room for our family of 5 plus guests. The kids had the lower level to themselves while we had the upstairs for more peaceful adult time. We spent most of our time on the dock at the great boathouse and the screened porch overlooking the lake. Our kids loved it and like us didn't want to leave. CHECK OUT CAME TOO EARLY! Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us. We will be back."
