"This cabin is between Brevard and Cashiers, several miles from each. It is located off a paved road that doesn't get much travel. The gravel driveway is somewhat long, somewhat rutted, and slightly uphill. If you're driving a Corvette you may have trouble. Our family car did just fine. The log cabin sits back in the woods. It is charming! We especially liked the mountain laurel hand rails on the stairs. The appliances in the kitchen are older than I am, but worked fine. The bathroom has a claw-foot tub with shower that may be a bit tricky to navigate if you have mobility issues. However, the water pressure is good and there's plenty of hot water. The cabin sits within an easy drive of a number of waterfalls, and is also close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. During the 5 days we were there we hiked to at least 6 waterfalls, drove on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and had several good meals in Brevard, Cashiers, and Highlands. We didn't see it until later, but there is also a Zip Line company outside of Highlands that looks like fun."

"“The Long and Winding Road” Although a song by the Beatles it is a perfect description of your great mountain hideaway. Floridians, beach people, go to the mountains for a change of scenery. We don't drive on mountain roads and they always seem longer and more winding. Every inch worth the drive. To sit and look towards the Appalachian Trail and wonder who might be ready to start their long adventure. To sit and listen to the quiet (it's a great non-sound). To watch the winter birds search for a feeding as the sun begins to warm the mornings after sub-freezing nights. To watch the slowing emptying feeder as if it were an hour glass. A weekend, an Anniversary celebration, a Valentine get-away, all provided by your Smokey Mountain retreat.
Thanks for the extra treat of firewood, though we brought some of our own. Thanks for the clean and restful environment. Most of all, thanks for the great directions. They were spot-on.
Dinner at Cafe REL, Lucio's, and in Cherokee at Brio Tuscan Grill filled all the needs for fine dining. Even offering the use of your Ingles card was an extra thoughtful touch.
We will be back.

"Outstanding 3 day stay for 2 couples. The pictures don't do it justice. There are 3 cabins. This one is on the far left. Although there were people staying in the cabin next to us we seldom heard them, Everything we needed was there with the exception of charcoal for the weber grille. Location is 5 minute drive to Cherokee and Harrah's Casino so very convenient yet just far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. Hot tub was a welcome relief after a day of fishing ln and around nearby Cherokee. The rockers on the front porch offered a comfortable way to pass some time. Owners were very accommodating and quickly responded to every email request. Great people, great location, and a property that is exactly as described. Doesn't get any better than this."

I was very happy with the location.
I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
My Wife and I really enjoyed our stay at your cabin. It was very secluded and quite which is what we were looking for."
