  • PARADISE!

"I LOVED it. Cabin is designed well, clean, modern, functional. Property is AMAZING. My son (age 8) and I took a father/son trip over thanksgiving, just to get away. And we took our Bernese Mountain Dog (5 months old) with us. The weather gave us a bit of a fit. The day we arrived, it was raining so hard, we could barely see 50 feet ahead of us driving up. After getting unloaded and settled in, we stayed cozy by the gas fireplace, playing games and watching movies. That night, it was predicted to have some snow flurries, which turned into 17 hours of snow! For my son and my dog (who had never seen snow, but is, well, a mountain dog) had the most fun as we walked, played and explored the property. There's plenty of well maintained trails and lots to see. Would love to see the areas around the creek in the summer. Owner has made benches to sit and watch the stream in several places along the flowing water. The driveway in and out is SCARY the first time going either up or down. And since we arrived in the pouring rain and then the snow came, we only had one trip each way--never left the property for our entire stay. Lots of shade on the driveway so the snow turned to ice sheets in several places. In my worries about the driveway and being able to get back out, I emailed the property manager, who helped make me feel better, giving me the contact information for the owner who would be available to help if needed. We did NOT have a four wheel drive and we made it, but in the future, I'd probably want to have one in any bad weather. The kitchen was stocked with all we needed. I noticed little things that most rentals don't have--we had extra batteries if we needed them for the remotes, we took paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, etc, but brought them all back home--never needed them. The kitchen had plenty of dish towels and dish clothes, something I never see, so that was something else we didn't need to pack. I slept in the front bedroom and my son slept in the loft. Beds were fantastic, slept better than I do at home. The front porch was my favorite place, even in the cold. Go sit and listen to the creek and watch my son and dog running and playing. The sight was amazing. I can't say enough about Susan, the property manager...I felt she was there for anything I needed. My son actually broke down in tears over having to leave--and I felt the same way. I look forward to coming back!"

"We were seriously needing some relaxation and I can tell you that this cabin is perfect for that. Even our dogs, one being a puppy, relaxed. There are plenty of outside activities you can get involved with, and if you are into hiking, the Appalachian Trail is right there for the hiking! We did not do too much in the town of Hot Springs, preferring to spend most of our time sitting on the screened-in porch and just listening to nature. We would love to return for a much longer period of time and hopefully will be able to do just that!!"

  • A wonderful getaway

"We had a wonderful time at Broadwing Farm. The views were spectacular, and nearby Hot Springs is quaint and lovely. We found our cabin comfortable, clean and well stocked - there were even fresh picked wildflowers on the table and eggs in the fridge when we arrived. The Pine Cabin has a beautiful view of the pond, and we loved the spiral staircase. Definitely call to visit the garden - we brought back fresh-picked green beans, potatoes, lettuce and herbs for a delicious grilled dinner. Pete even drew us a map for trail hiking from the back door! Looking at the stars from the hot tub on a cool evening will live up to your expectations. We will be back again!"

  • Perfect

"My girlfriend and I stayed at the Sundance for the weekend and I couldn't have been happier with the cabin and amenities. Everything was so clean, it was almost as if we were the first to ever stay! The new hot tub isn't pictured, but it is amazing! LED lights change colors and at night you can see every star in the sky. There is a sound system on the tv and satellite so you can watch movies on the couch or play music. The kitchen is WELL equipped for cooking or grilling. The grill was like brand new too. Full size refrigerator and utensils. Tom and Rebecca, the owners, are super friendly and accomodating. There isn't cell service, which is nice, but they provide a house phone. The bed was comfortable and the closet had extra blankets. There are games too. We played mancalla at the kitchen table while I cooked breakfast. Sitting on the rocking chairs and enjoying the peace was so relaxing. I could sit here and type all day about how great this cabin and everything was, but you really need to book this one and see for yourself. I WILL be back again. Thank you Tom and Rebecca for everything!"

Hiking and Rafting Await You From Smoky Mountain Cabin Rentals

Hot Springs vacation rentals and Smoky Mountain cabin rentals offer convenient access to the Appalachian Trail where you can test your hiking skills. Located south of the Smoky Mountains, the Appalachian Trail offers long climbs with 4,000-foot gaps, 5,000-foot peaks, and panoramic views of western North Carolina. During the hike, you'll have a feeling of remoteness, and a sensation of being in deep forests.
