"We loved this cabin, it was perfect in every way and the views were amazing. Friday we went and drove on the Blue Ridge Parkway and seen the most beautiful sights. We took the Devils Stair Case and it was magical, with the fall colors of raining leafs. We also went though the wheels of time, which we all enjoyed. Saturday we explored the Biltmore(such a fairly tale)and of course tried every wine on the list. Legends was a great little local sports bar that we stopped at to watch the Florida Gator game and I was very surprised to see so many Florida fans. We did however finish the 2nd half at the cabin on the radio in the truck by the firepit!! Sunday we drove to Cherokee and went exploring. We did stop for an hour at the casino but no luck:(
This cabin is in a great location. It's a short trip in any direction to see so many amazing sights! I will definitely come back to this same cabin for my next trip to the Smokey Mountains! The owner Geoff and the Property Manager John were very accommodating, personable as well as helpful! I would recommend this cabin to anyone!
Thank you for the great hospitality and sharing your"Gem". We're already talking about coming back up next spring or summer with my son."

The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was very happy with the location.
I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
we have been staying at the Whits End since 2007, We have been coming to the mountains in October since the late 60's when I was a small child. My dad truly loves this place, especially the swing at sun rise. My dad left us last year and now lives in heaven and I intend to keep his tradition going for as long as the good Lord is willing."

"We spent an absolute wonderful time at Emerald Gate. Had my son and his family with us which included a two year old. The cabin was cozy with the fire place burning as it was pretty cold outside. JC took us up to the top of the property on his four wheel and it is beautiful. Two year old got to feed Hazel the horse some carrots and pat his head as well as feeding the chickens and the fish in the ponds. Took very winding ride to Catalooche Ranch near by and saw lots of Elk, deer, and wild turkey. Beautiful streams all around and would love to go back in summertime and go tubing. Could not have had a more gracious host in JC and he has all kinds of fruit trees and has garden that he plants so many vegetables in. If you want to have a very nice place to relax and vacation Emerald Gate meets all your needs."

"We have leased many many lovely mountain homes in this area over the last ten yrs, and we came away saying "This was the best ever!" As retired folks, we loved that the major living area was on one level, and that when our family joined us, they could go downstairs to another spacious and welcoming TV/air hockey room, two bedrooms and a full bath. Each family who comes here certainly has different things they want to experience, and there is a LOT! But for us, our favorites (at this age!) are the Ten Acre Farm in Bethel for berry picking, Farmers Markets, craft fairs, hiking, streams and Sliding Rock, Friday nights at the Street Dance in Waynesville, Pickin' on the Green in Canton, white water rafting, making s'mores, and enjoying family and friends. But the BEST, by FAR, is the deck!! 62 degrees in the morning, glorious view day and night, the birds singing and the wonderful smell of the mountains! Thanks Pat and Mary! Three weeks of absolute JOY!"
