  • We've Found Our New Happy Place!!

"Our stay at Rushing Waters was more than we could have hoped for. It was clean and comfortable, stocked with everything we needed and the location was absolutely breathtaking. The area had so much to offer and is also so close to so many places. In addition to exploring Hayesville we went to Gatlinburg and Dollywood in Tennessee, Black Rock Mountain State Park in Georgia, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Asheville, North Carolina. All close enough for day trips. I'm sure every season is beautiful but I don't think anything can beat seeing those places in the fall. Everything was as great as Annie said it would be. Our only regret was not spending more time in the cabin!! Next time though, as this was surely only our FIRST trip to Rushing Waters!!"

  • Great Getaway!

"My expectations were far exceeded! The cabin was perfect for our family of five. Our two younger daughters loved the loft with the twin beds, while our older daughter enjoyed the privacy and comfort of the guest bedroom. We all appreciated the high speed internet and the TV with satellite and Netflix. It felt just like home, except for the gorgeous views from the deck! You can't get that back home. The bottom floor has another bedroom, bathroom, living area, and game room that we didn't even use. I was very pleased with the property, but even more pleasing was the comfort I felt from the owner. Very responsive, courteous, and thoughtful. I could not have ask for a better experience. Thanks!"

  • Loved it

"My boyfriend and I stayed here over the weekend. Strickland was very accommodating and understanding, even though I had pretty last minute plans! The cabin was very clean and well-maintained. I'm a neat freak and would notice otherwise. We really enjoyed being so close to the river, and our dogs did too! The river and area overall was really pretty even for winter. Even though it was definitely cold outside, it was an excellent place for a "getaway" and we found neat local stuff to do: thrift store shopping - there are SO many around, visited a local winery called Eagle Fork Vineyards, ate at this restaurant called Brother's (that was absolutely amazing and inexpensive!), and just relaxed. It was definitely worth the trip."

  • Almost afraid to get the word out

"Behr Paw is a very nice home with amazin views. The furniture is very comfortable but wood stove is cozy (don't let the small size fool you....once it's going you'll be opening some windows). The layout is perfect for 4 people. In our case 2 people and 2 dogs. Is rare you find such a nice place that allows pets. Here's hoping future renters take care and respect with the property and don't ruin a good thing for the rest of us."
