"My husband my daughter and myself absolutely loved our stay in the Fishermans Retreat. As soon as we walked in we felt completely at home. The home is beautifully decorated and so comfortable with everything you could possibly need. I honestly did not want to leave:). My daughter loved the game room the best and played game after game of pool. So looking forward to our next visit when we can bring the whole family."

Extraordinary Remote Mountain Top Luxury Home with Phenomenal Views!
"My family stayed at this remote luxury (5-star quality) cabin home in August, and upon entry, we were immediately flabbergasted by the incredible Appalachian Mountain and Lake Chatuge views. I share the same perspective as all the other reviewers, the home was absolutely immaculate! Everything from the beautiful furnishings, decor, chef's kitchen to the cleanliness and care taken to preserve its luxuriousness was the best I have seen in the area. Not to mention the incredible price point for the level of quality is simply unbeatable. The home is owned by a wonderful and very friendly Jewish family that was very attentive to our needs and went out of their way to assure comfortability. When my family arrived, we noticed the A/C not working, the owners immediately addressed the issue by contacing a repairman. To go further, the owner even reimbursed us $100 for the trouble which was unecessary but very appreciated. To be honest, coming from FL, we were not that hot and it was great to just open all the windows and allow the cool and fresh mountain air breeze in. The owner and family truly care about this property and it is evident throughout the home. Sadly, the owner's family suffered a very unfortunate event in their lives as the story is told in various ways throuhout the home. However, you will instantly feel the positive energy that is radiated from their spiritualism and dedication for loving and living life to its fullest! My family left the home feeling relaxed, refreshed and as if we became part of this family. It was really an incredible experience. Lastly, there are many great activities within a reasonable distance to this property. The owners were kind enough to leave a welcome packet for their guests which has some good information on restaurants and a great hiking area around Lake Chatuge (which I highly recommend). Furthermore, the property is about 1-2 hrs drive from Bryson City where you can enjoy some water activities like white water rafting, and the Carolina Train Tour (a 4 hour tour around the mountains and Little TN River Basin). I highly recommend going to Carolina Outfitters as they were great for the rafting tours. Also, recommend this cool little German Town about 1 hour or so south of the property which has great shops and restaurants (it is a bit of a tourist trap, but cool nonetheless). Overall, my family was very pleased!"

"A lovely setting overlooking the river rapids and convenient to John C. Campbell Folk School, Young Harris College, and the towns in Western NC and North Georgia. The apartment is clean, modern, and attractively decorated. We so appreciated being able to bring our small dog with us."

"Our stay at Julie Mountain Retreat was simply wonderful. The home is well appointed in a beautiful setting. The hummingbirds come daily to buzz the deck, there were songbirds galore and the cutest little lizards you ever saw scurried across the picnic table. We ate, drank, slept, visited friends in the valley, toured the local sights and came home rested. Who could ask for more? Some other reviewers have mentioned the road. Yes, it's steep and gravel, but my Camry, a Prius, and a station wagon all made it without any difficulty, even on rainy days. I wouldn't drive a delivery truck up there, but anything else should have no problems. I couldn't recommend this haven more."
