  • We've Found Our New Happy Place!!

"Our stay at Rushing Waters was more than we could have hoped for. It was clean and comfortable, stocked with everything we needed and the location was absolutely breathtaking. The area had so much to offer and is also so close to so many places. In addition to exploring Hayesville we went to Gatlinburg and Dollywood in Tennessee, Black Rock Mountain State Park in Georgia, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Asheville, North Carolina. All close enough for day trips. I'm sure every season is beautiful but I don't think anything can beat seeing those places in the fall. Everything was as great as Annie said it would be. Our only regret was not spending more time in the cabin!! Next time though, as this was surely only our FIRST trip to Rushing Waters!!"

"It was a nice place to stay.We would stay here again. The amenities were plenty.Location to many attractions is ideal. The open space here at the cabin is ideal.A pet friendly rental with room to run for the dogs and a nice peaceful walk around the property with safe streets to walk free from a lot of vehicles.Beautiful Vistas throughout the area.Wonderful.Only draw back is having to go out and up to access upper level. Would not stop me from renting again. My wife and I love the area and staying here makes us ponder a move to N.C."

  • A wonderful getaway!

"While going through some life events that called for a peaceful, relaxing getaway, a high school friend and I met up at Compass Creek for a long weekend and enjoyed every minute of it. From the cozy interior of the spotless, thoughtfully appointed cabin to the GREAT outdoors, with the breathtaking beauty of the pond, firepit, rushing creek and expansive yard, everything was just wonderful and more than we expected. We spent the days exploring Hayesville and Hiawassee (the maps and brochures with things to do in the area were a real help!) and the nights catching up with a glass of wine in front of the TV. Although we were two 50-ish women looking for nothing more than a place to kick back and relax, we could see how families who bring their children could easily make a lifetime of memories at Compass Creek... good, clean fun with something for everyone! Owners Gary and Tracey are responsive, attentive and show true pride of ownership in their cabin. It was apparent from the first communication that they want the people who stay at their cabin to love it as much as they do. We chose a jigsaw puzzle from the shelf of puzzles and games on the first night but never even got around to opening the box. Guess that will have to wait for our next stay!"
