"We were blown away from the moment we walked in the front door! Pictures don't do this beautiful home justice..this spot far exceeded our expectations!! Impeccably decorated and has everything you could possibly need. A bit steep to the lake but we enjoyed the excerise even my sister in law who is seven months pregnant. Older kids had a blast playing air hockey and darts. Spent hours fishing..wish we had better luck..maybe next time! We will definitely be back! Thank you so much"

"What an experience! We never tired of taking in all of the well-appointed decor of the Lodge. Second only to the amazing history of the residence.
Cruisin' on Lake Chatuge was pristine and serene. Great way to totally relax. Packing a picnic lunch, swimming, etc.
Family and three different sets of friends over our two week plus stay enjoyed themselves immensely.
Cliff was only a phone call away to assist with any questions. He is nominated for "Landlord of the Year!"
My only wish is; if our friends decide to rent here in the future, they'll include us!

"We wanted to escape the heat of the SC coast and visit family in the area and this was the ideal location. The pictures do not do it justice. The cabin was larger than it appears in the pictures and so comfortable. Wish we had booked a two week stay! My husband, a TV junkie, spent every hour that we were there out on the porch. We have a porch at home, but he never spends that much time on it. It is convenient to any activities or sightseeing you may want to do. We went to Helen and Blue Ridge; took the train ride. Unfortunately my husband has a very bad back so we could not hike around the area, but he did walk around the pond several times. I am so sorry we did not book a longer stay!! And again, out timing was off - the Tavern down the street was closed for several days. I think they were doing some repairs. Other guests said it was a nice friendly place and we wanted to check it out. One morning while drinking our coffee on the porch, two of the neighbors jumped in the pond for a swim!! The four legged neighbors. There were three sweet, friendly dogs who would show up every now and then. Five days without the internet did not kill me, although I would have liked it just to look up some info on places in the area. I think this would be an ideal place for a family to "get to know one another" again - unplug from the craziness and play games, hike, relax. I wish I could bring my grandchildren there for a week so the can see what life without wires is like!! Thanks for a great stay!!"
