  • Great Value and very interesting!

"We stayed for one week and found the accommodations very spacious and extremely interesting. The added benefit was having the use of a pontoon boat to explore the lake. The lodging was in a word, unique in a charming way. The owner was very helpful and could always be reached. Would recommend to a couple, or family, or several couples. Great value."

  • Our home away from home

"First of all, who the heck comes to the serenity of these mountains and this cabin to watch TV? And if that's what ruins your whole trip, then maybe you need to re-prioritize. My wife and I have been renting this cabin for almost 7 years. We have our boat on nearby Lake Chatuge, which is quite frankly, one of the best lakes in this country. Shhh, don't tell anybody. The value you receive in this cabin for the money you spend isn't comparable to anything around here. I'm surprised that the owner doesn't charge more for this jewel. Whenever we pull in the driveway of this place, we can immediately feel the pressures of the big city world roll right off of our shoulders. The place is well maintained and we cook most all of our meals at this cabin when we're here. But there are also a couple of decent places in nearby Hayesville if you want to eat out. Especially the Cottage House where the breakfast buffet is unmatched. But the greatest part about this cabin is the outside. Throughout the day you'll see several hummingbirds stop by the feeders. There's a barbecue grill, and a firepit with plenty of wood to burn. And then there's the creek that runs beside the cabin. It ALWAYS has water in it, and the sound will sooth your soul. The cabin is also dog friendly, which is great because we take our babies everywhere, and they love this place too. By the way, the TV works. There's even one in one of the bedrooms, but that's not the reason why I would think anyone would want to come here. But it's another great added bonus."

  • Perfect for a relaxing getaway in a beautiful home!

"If you want to enjoy the Smoky Mountains without all of the tourists and souvenir shops, this is definitely the place to stay. This house was just beautiful. It was immaculately clean and well maintained. It was so comfortable to stay in, perfect for two couples. The master bedroom is amazing! During our week there, we went whitewater rafting with Rolling Thunder River Company, horseback riding at Chunky Gal Stables, wine tasting at Eagle Fork Vineyards, hiked at Brasstown Bald Mountain and Fire Rim Creek, enjoyed an outdoor concert at Crane Creek Vineyards, rented a pontoon on Lake Chatuge for the day and drove the 2 hours into Asheville to visit the Biltmore Estate. We had so much fun and loved knowing we were coming back to relax at the house each day. We enjoyed the hot tub, the beautiful view from the sun porch and the overall coziness of the house. We definitely recommend staying at Crows Nest. You won't regret it!"

  • Awesome location - creek is wonderful!

"Quaint and cozy cabin in a wonderful location. The sound and sights of the creek were spectacular, and can be seen through the living room sliding doors by the fire on cold winter days. The surrounding area is nice and Ingles is a great grocery store - even picking up some things to take home with us that we can't get here in our area. Our dogs had the best time running through the woods, going for walks, playing in the snow and drinking from the creek. We have stayed in many VRBO NC & GA cabins over the years and my older teenagers declared it their favorite of all. It was nicely appointed with lodge style furniture and decor, but I'm only giving it 4 stars because it wasn't as spotlessly clean and stocked as others have been. Still had a really great time and would like to return during the spring or summer months."
