"Our stay at Rushing Waters was more than we could have hoped for. It was clean and comfortable, stocked with everything we needed and the location was absolutely breathtaking. The area had so much to offer and is also so close to so many places. In addition to exploring Hayesville we went to Gatlinburg and Dollywood in Tennessee, Black Rock Mountain State Park in Georgia, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Asheville, North Carolina. All close enough for day trips. I'm sure every season is beautiful but I don't think anything can beat seeing those places in the fall. Everything was as great as Annie said it would be. Our only regret was not spending more time in the cabin!! Next time though, as this was surely only our FIRST trip to Rushing Waters!!"

"We met our in-laws in the mountains for a nice quite Valentine's weekend and this place was just perfect and a great value. The property had a breathtaking view, and the uniqueness of the farmhouse was obviously decorated with good taste and love. To top it off, the bit of snow we travelled through on our way home made the weekend magical. The owner was more than accommodating throughout the trip. My father-in-law was particularly fond of that 'feeling of home' that he felt during our stay. We travel to the mountains quite often and this was a favorite for him. We enjoyed your home Jim, and your hospitality. Thank you!"

"We wanted to escape the heat of the SC coast and visit family in the area and this was the ideal location. The pictures do not do it justice. The cabin was larger than it appears in the pictures and so comfortable. Wish we had booked a two week stay! My husband, a TV junkie, spent every hour that we were there out on the porch. We have a porch at home, but he never spends that much time on it. It is convenient to any activities or sightseeing you may want to do. We went to Helen and Blue Ridge; took the train ride. Unfortunately my husband has a very bad back so we could not hike around the area, but he did walk around the pond several times. I am so sorry we did not book a longer stay!! And again, out timing was off - the Tavern down the street was closed for several days. I think they were doing some repairs. Other guests said it was a nice friendly place and we wanted to check it out. One morning while drinking our coffee on the porch, two of the neighbors jumped in the pond for a swim!! The four legged neighbors. There were three sweet, friendly dogs who would show up every now and then. Five days without the internet did not kill me, although I would have liked it just to look up some info on places in the area. I think this would be an ideal place for a family to "get to know one another" again - unplug from the craziness and play games, hike, relax. I wish I could bring my grandchildren there for a week so the can see what life without wires is like!! Thanks for a great stay!!"

"This place was everything it describes & more. It was a beautiful, sturdy built home with great spaces. Even though we just had the two of us & our doggie, you could easily get the entire extended family here to stay for a while. There are many spaces people could spread out & not be on top of each other. The Kitchen is large, with 2 great ovens, large fridge, and tastefully decorated throughout the home. The master bed was very comfy! We loved it here, it was so quiet & relaxing! This would be a great place to have a family reunion. Close to Lake Chatuge, Hiwassee River, creeks, etc! The only thing we were disappointed with is that it listed a Big Green Egg for outdoor grilling, and we arrived ready to smoke some meat. There is no big green egg, it was replaced with a medium sized kettle type round charcoal grill, so we were bummed about that, but it didn't stop us from enjoying our stay immensely! The owners are very quick to repsond and so kind, they have built a very sturdy home, and thought about everything! Thank you again for sharing your mountain retreat with us!"
