  • This home has it all -- and MORE! What a wonderful getaway experience!!! Thank you!!

"This is an exceptional rental property for a variety of reasons: The house itself is spacious, comfortable, tastefully furnished, luxurious, and immaculate in every respect. From the furnishings to the linen to the appliances -- everything is FIVE STAR quality. Each room has access to private decks or balconies that have spectacular views of the mountains, foliage, and lakes. The house is set on multiple acres of beautiful natural habitat, and the owner has tastefully manicured the immediate surrounding garden. Peacefulness and tranquility abound at "Dov's Cove". Staying here was an absolute treat, and my family and I look forward to many more weekends here. Much appreciation to the owners for sharing this spectacular one-of-a-kind property!!!!"

  • Family from Winston-Salem, NC

"This is our 4th year staying here and each year we say this is the best year yet and this year was the best year yet! The cabin was in perfect order when we got there. The weather was great and the fish were biting. We enjoyed fishing, playing pool and grilling on the charcoal grill which makes the food taste so much better. The sounds from the river can be heard anywhere in the house and is soothing, peaceful and relaxing. The trip to the falls in Hayesville 5 miles away was a nice afternoon hike for several of the family members. Saturday we went to the Farmers Market in Murphy, NC and enjoyed walking around the town. We did not know that Hayesville, NC has a farmers market until the day before we left and we plan to go next year when we return for our 5th year to this wonderful cabin. Our dogs had a great time, especially running at the river, getting in the water and chasing each other with sticks in their mouths. As always, Strickland - the owner - called us the 1st day to make sure we got there safely and that everything was perfect in the cabin. If there is a problem, we tell him or call him and he comes to fix the problem or sends someone right away to take care of it. No matter what the problem is, he wants to make it right and will go out of his way to make sure it gets done and our stay is a great one. He doesn't care how many times you call or email him. He is the type of owner that wants to make your stay an excellent experience and will go out of his way to make sure this happens. For instance, the coffee maker was broken and he had a neighbor go by and pick up a new one that night and bring it to us along with coffee for us. Now that is instant service."

  • Relaxing Mountain Retreat

"We had eight wonderful, relaxing nights at this perfect Compass Creek Cabin. The grounds are beautiful with fire pit/plenty of wood/chairs right next to creek, a beautiful large pond, plenty of room inside, fully furnished and comfortable. We enjoyed having the garage for covered parking since it was raining the day we arrived!!! It was easy to find with GPS and centrally located to nearby attractions. We would definitely go back and recommend it for any age group. We had an 86 yr old with some immobility, who had no trouble getting around. No ramps but very few steps. Grounds level enough for walker. Hopefully we will be able to return in the fall."
