"Our family has just spent a wonderful week at Katie Camp. We were a group of 10, grandparents, parents and 3 small children. The house is well suited for large groups with plenty of room to gather as a whole but areas for privacy when wanted. We particularly loved the large upstairs porch which was a safe place for adults to relax and toddlers to play. The house is extremely well equipped, from kitchen equipment to beach towels! It's the best equipped rental we have ever stayed in.
The setting and views are magnificent. Our family was literally "at camp". Fishing, sailing, swimming, kayaking, biking and sitting lakeside sipping adult beverages. We were a bit concerned that there was no air conditioning but it was never a problem, as it was cool and comfortable.
Our ONLY suggestion is that we would have liked a little more indoor lighting in the entry, dining room and kitchen, where we spent a lot of time. However, that certainly didn't dampen our enthusiasm for Katie Camp and our hope for a return visit. It was a perfect family vacation destination!!"

"My family and I have been going to Lake Glenville for vacation for the past 15 years. We have stayed at several lakeside homes but this home is by far the best home we have stayed. Most homes require a very long walk down to the lake, but it could not be any easier here. The house is on a very gentle slope making it very easy to get to the waters edge. There is no thru traffic since it is located in a gated community with only a few homes. We have enjoyed it so much, we have returned to this particular house for the past 8 years. Would highly recommend."

"Loved the house! There for long weekend for family wedding in Cashiers. Had my husband and 3 mostly grown children with me. Convenient to town but quiet, lovely spot just outside town.
My husband and I were very happy in the private upstairs queen room and bath while my daughter was thrilled with the beautiful master suite downstairs. The big boys were fine with the bunk room. Great kitchen... we cooked breakfast several mornings. Of course the dock and lake were the real draw. Beautiful downward slope to the lake. My husband loved swimming after his morning runs! I love it when my kids are impressed with the location mom booked!"

"My family rented this home for a couple of nights. I grew up living on a lake in Wisconsin (Lake Geneva). This was my first time ever coming to the mountains in North Carolina. It was beautiful and the house was very comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked well, the nearby town of Cashiers was picture-perfect, the grocery store was about a seven minute drive through the mountains (and a teen-age bear did run across the street during one of our drives to town), the lake is stunning, and the house was nice. The fact that kayaks were included was an added bonus. I'd definitely stay there again!"
