"My family and I have been going to Lake Glenville for vacation for the past 15 years. We have stayed at several lakeside homes but this home is by far the best home we have stayed. Most homes require a very long walk down to the lake, but it could not be any easier here. The house is on a very gentle slope making it very easy to get to the waters edge. There is no thru traffic since it is located in a gated community with only a few homes. We have enjoyed it so much, we have returned to this particular house for the past 8 years. Would highly recommend."

"My wife and I spent 5 wonderful days at this lovely home at the end of October. Very private location in a secure gated community. The views of lake Glenville are incredible and the lake is very accessible as are the tennis courts.
The home is professionally decorated and all accessories are first class. We have stayed at several other lake Glenville homes but this was definitely among the nicest. Enjoyed our stay and certainly look forward to our return.

"We spent "peak" week for the Fall leaves at this great A-Frame Cottage on beautiful Lake Glenville. My husband and I love coming to NC from FL in the Fall because Florida does not offer anything like this. This home did not disappoint from a location standpoint (BEAUTIFUL lake views from high up on the hill and only a 10 minute ride into Cashiers.) Cashiers didn't have as much of a "town" as we thought it would, but the grocery store and restaurants we found were great and the people are wonderful. We love how close the house was to incredible hiking and waterfalls. The nearby town of Highlands was fantastic with great (upscale) shops and restaurants (about a 30 minute drive.) We even took a day trip to Gatlinburg, TN and enjoyed the Smokey Mountain Highway...got back by 4:30pm so the location is awesome for exploring this whole region.
We found the home to be perfect for two people and with the upstairs loft (three beds), you could easily have a family here and have a blast...particularly in the summer when it is warm enough to enjoy the lake. I would consider the house to be rustic, but comfortable, clean and cozy. There were plenty of towels and linens (although quite worn), and the kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and spices and coffee filters. We grilled out three times and particularly loved the wood fire place. The stairs going to the dock (150+) were very steep and slippery due to the leaves and moss, but we knew about that from the reviews. You have to just be careful, but the view and dock and lake are worth every step! It was a good workout coming back up!
The owners were always very responsive and checked in with us after we arrived. Wi-Fi and satellite TV were in perfect working order as were the room heaters (we needed them at night in late Oct!) If you are looking for high end and modern appliances, etc., then try another place...but if you are like us and like to feel like you are at a cabin that has warmth and charm and character...this is a great option!"
