  • gorgeous lake home

"Our family absolutely enjoyed our stay here! Everything was perfect! The home is spacious and beautifully decorated. it is a gorgeous, very clean, and well maintained home! The views are spectacular! Each family had their own bedroom and bathroom and plenty of room to spread out! The decks are amazing and plenty of room to sit and enjoy the views or eat a family meal together. The game room was fun and our toddler loved playing with the little kitchen and art easel. When the grandkids get older, they are going to love staying in the bunk room. The owner was so helpful and made the whole rental process so easy! We can't wait to go back in the summer so that we can enjoy the lake more! The location was great and easy access to Cashiers and Highlands. We would highly recommend this house to our friends and family!"

  • Relaxing Week at the Lake!

"Spent one of our most relaxing weeks ever at this warm and cozy lakefront home. Both my husband and myself lead very busy lives and really needed this week to relax but also have a 10 yr old son and teenage daughter so always hard to find something for the whole family - well this is it!! The kids had the best vacation ever! Spent everyday on the lake - kayaking to island, and met lots of friends on the lake. Enjoyed days of hiking and the fabulous waterfalls. Mike and Mark were wonderful hosts - enjoyed the sunset cruise which was a blast!! Great cabin, very warm and comfortable. kitchen updated, pets were welcomed . We really didn't use downstairs except for the laundry. When I had any concerns or questions Mike was always available and responded immediately. I can't say enough about how great the experience was and how beautiful the lake is. My kids are planning another vacation already to return. Hope we see Mike, Mark and Julie when they come to Siesta next year!"

  • Great cabin!

"My family of four has stayed at the cabin twice over the last 3 years and we just love the place. The Cashiers/Highlands area is the perfect getaway from the summer heat and humidity. The area is an outdoorsman’s paradise – fishing, swimming, hiking, cycling, horseback riding, rafting, golfing. Whatever outdoor activity you choose is available and the weather for it is perfect in the summer months. The cabin is very clean and well maintained. The kitchen is fully stocked. The basement area with a ping pong table and TV/VCR was perfect for family movie night and knock down, drag-out ping pong matches. The location at the north end of the lake is very secluded – little boat traffic/noise to interrupt the peaceful afternoons. We look forward to coming back again."

  • Everything, Absolutely Everything you could possibly want in a rental or in your home.

"Hickory House exceeds all my expectations. I have rented for over 20 years in a variety of places. This is the perfect home for all my needs. A million dollar view, close to mountains, music, and a place to make wonderful memories. I enjoy hiking and one of the prettiest trails in the area is just up the road off Hwy 107. I love to paddle and swim so the beach at the community dock is a plus. The light constantly changes and fills the great room with warmth. The screened in porch complete with high top table and chairs as well as an old fashion swing is the perfect place to take in the exquisite view. I especially appreciate the connectivity of the wifi/telephone/cell service. The enclosed garage gives me security and safety for the few times when I am here alone. Thank you to the owners for keeping Hickory House spotlessly clean, comfortably furnished, and very well equipped."
