"Loved the house! There for long weekend for family wedding in Cashiers. Had my husband and 3 mostly grown children with me. Convenient to town but quiet, lovely spot just outside town.
My husband and I were very happy in the private upstairs queen room and bath while my daughter was thrilled with the beautiful master suite downstairs. The big boys were fine with the bunk room. Great kitchen... we cooked breakfast several mornings. Of course the dock and lake were the real draw. Beautiful downward slope to the lake. My husband loved swimming after his morning runs! I love it when my kids are impressed with the location mom booked!"

"The house is wonderful with lots of character, high ceilings, with a spiral staircase to a loft with 3 single beds and a full bath. The master includes a comfortable king size bed with full bath. This is a great place for an active family! We ate in the screened in porch overlooking the lake for almost every meal. The charcoal and gas grill provided lots of cooking options and the large deck is perfect for relaxing. The lake is beautiful and refreshing in the summer. Be aware if you have small children and/or older dogs. There are about 178 steps to the dock below. We had no problem with it, but just don't want anyone to be surprised or disappointed if you have toddlers, babies, older dogs, bad knees, or in poor physical condition. For us we loved the steps and foliage around them, for us it added to the character. It is close to town with great restaurants, Gorges State Park, and Nantahala. It was also great to have the kayaks too! It just added to the adventure and things to do. We are so grateful for Debra's hospitality and will be back!!"

"Our family has just spent a wonderful week at Katie Camp. We were a group of 10, grandparents, parents and 3 small children. The house is well suited for large groups with plenty of room to gather as a whole but areas for privacy when wanted. We particularly loved the large upstairs porch which was a safe place for adults to relax and toddlers to play. The house is extremely well equipped, from kitchen equipment to beach towels! It's the best equipped rental we have ever stayed in.
The setting and views are magnificent. Our family was literally "at camp". Fishing, sailing, swimming, kayaking, biking and sitting lakeside sipping adult beverages. We were a bit concerned that there was no air conditioning but it was never a problem, as it was cool and comfortable.
Our ONLY suggestion is that we would have liked a little more indoor lighting in the entry, dining room and kitchen, where we spent a lot of time. However, that certainly didn't dampen our enthusiasm for Katie Camp and our hope for a return visit. It was a perfect family vacation destination!!"

"We were 3 generations with 4 children 9 and under. The house was perfect - beautiful, clean with incredible view of mountains and lake. Children slept in lower level bunk beds and had their own tv room. The huge double living room had an area where children played their games(although we were outdoors most of the time) and where the adults could talk and relax. The outdoor porch with the fireplace was a great gathering place after meals or while we were grilling dinner and/or eating on the porch.
For this city lady, the fact that here were no mosquitoes was amazing. The children who were strong swimmers would dive off the dock and loved the tube ride behind the boat. We were there 4th of July and saw the fireworks display on the lake - just beautiful. Explored the lake and viewed all the waterfalls.
Highest praise for Danny the caretaker. We had lots of gear to be brought into house and he was always available for all other needs.
Wi-Fi was spotty but we managed with personal Wi-Fi adapters.
Can't stop talking about what a great house and vacation we had."
