"We leased this property for 2 weeks in August. We've done this for 35 years all over the mountains of NC. This home is definitely one of our favorites! So peaceful, and yet action on the lake make it so nice and calming. This home offers you a fantastic new kitchen, wonderful master with a new bath, double sinks, and all the quiet time one needs. It's only 10 minutes to Cashiers, 25 to Highlands. We cooked, hiked Whiteside, ate out at many of the wonderful places near this area, and even entertained friends in the area. This is truly a perfect home for rest, fun, and regrouping one self. We loved it. One of our favorites! And did I mention the owners have is pretty much stocked it with things like essentials......never had this before. I spent 300.00 before even heading there, as always, but didn't need to do this. So before you head to Ingles, head on up and take a look at what you really need before you shop. You never know. And leave some for the next guests! We are sooo looking forward to our time here again soon! Thank you Owners, you are wonderful!!!!!"

"My friend and I have been taking family vacations in the western North Carolina mountains for the past 30 years. We have rented houses in Sylva, Dillsboro, Franklin, Sapphire, and have found the Cashiers/Lake Glenville area the most suitable for our extended families of grandparents, parents and grandchildren. The last house we rented in Cashiers had its own 60 Ft. waterfall and a hot tub and was our favorite. It has since been sold and is no longer a rental. Luckily we found Porchlake this summer and we and all our kids have a new favorite. The house had plenty of room . All the improvements Mr. Calloway made over the years were greatly appreciated. The boat was a big plus, and the 3 person tube was an extra added bonus. The location on the cove was tranquil and the sloping grass area between the house and lake was perfect for the smaller grandchildren. Trout fishing, gem mining, waterfall exploring, golf, boating to the nearby island and tubing was enjoyed by all. The house was well equipped and Mr. Calloway's agent, Anne Jones was very helpful with the details to make our stay one of the most enjoyable ever in the North Carolina Mountains. A hot tub on the porch would translate to a name change to Lake Porch Shangra-la!"

"This is a beautiful Mountain home with with plenty to explore in the area. The peace you find here will renew your spirit. The house is well equipped with everything you need to enjoy your vacation. Randy, the owner is very attentive to all your questions and needs. This is the perfect retreat to entertain your family and friends. The community dock area is a great place to walk to. You can grill out here, read a book, watch boaters, build a camp fire. The near by creek that you can hear running from the porch deck is a fun place to walk to and explore. The Humming bird activity on the deck was a delight to watch. I would definitely rent this wonderful home again. We use the VRBO website for all our rentals and this place is definitely one of the best!"

"We recently stayed at this house on Lake Glenville and couldn't have picked a better location for a family vacation. This house has everything and more than you could ever need. The views were amazing and the house was the perfect lake house. The porch was ideal for young children, I have a 1 year old and 4 year old and they had the time of their life at this house. From the waterfalls, swimming, fishing, boating, or just rocking o the chairs overlooking the most amazing views. This house was more than we could have ever hoped for! We will be back again next year."
