"We just finished a weekend at the Blue Boar Retreat to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday. The retreat is everything we had hoped for and more! The rooms are large as shown in the pictures, and all our guests loved having inside and outside access. The main room is spacious with several sitting areas for everyone to enjoy. If you like to cook like we do the kitchen is an absolute JOY! There is nothing you can't do in that kitchen, and with 2 commercial refrigerators you can feed everyone and not run out of room in the fridge. Between that and the large dining room we prepared a plated dinner for over 30 people...unbelievable and so much fun. The outside of the Inn is equally nice, with the pavilion and firepit area overlooking the pond, a great place to unwind. The area where the Inn is located is gorgeous and the drive up to the Inn on the gravel road delivered just as the pictures suggested! We enjoyed the canoes on the lake during our stay as well. This part of the lake is almost completely undeveloped without a house or dock on the lake for what seemed like miles! Some of our guests also went for a hike at Joyce-Kilmer which is a short drive from the retreat. What the pictures can't convey is what a pleasure it was to work with Pam the caretaker. From booking to check-in she was VERY responsive to any and every question we may have had. When we realized we needed a little extra bed space she even helped us book another cabin up the hill, could not have been easier to work with. Thanks Pam for making it so easy! If you're looking for a great group rental in a gorgeous setting, this is it!"Guest: Brian Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 20, 2014View listing
"We recommend this house to anyone who wants to get away and relax! It is a very well thought out, comfortable place to stay with very pretty decorating! There is alot to do and see in the area. The hot tub is fantastic but do wished the pool heater worked, much to cold to swim in Sept. and was looking forward to it. The pool is very nice and big!"Guest: stryder Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 30, 2014View listing
"Just spent an incredible weekend in this most wonderful cabin! I highly recommend this home away from home... Lisa, the cabin owner, was such a pleasure; and, we will most certainly rebook in the near future..."Guest: Majors Date of Stay: January 2014 Review Submitted: January 20, 2014View listing
"My mom, sisters, and I stayed at Chalet Quietude for a weekend getaway.. the house was absolutely perfect for the 4 of us. We all had our own beds (with the most comfortable sheets) and truly felt right at home. We cooked dinner both nights and were pleased to find everything we needed (plates, utensils, kitchen gadgets, pots/pans, etc.) readily available in the kitchen. We spent our time drinking wine on the back porch that overlooks the mountains, relaxing in the hot tub, and enjoying each other's company. It was the perfect weekend!"Guest: Stacey R.
