  • PEACEFUL LAKE RETREAT!!!

"The rental company was so easy to work with, and things with the rental were handled very smoothly. As soon as we all walked into the home we were AMAZED! The upkeep, quality, decorations, cleanliness were all 100% There is no "musty old lake cabin" smell, which worried a few people who have stayed in lake cabins before. All I can say is every room was meticulously clean, beautifully decorated, and updated. There are actually 4 full bathrooms, not 3.5, and the young adults LOVED the downstairs with the Theater room and Pool table. We all really enjoyed the rocking chairs on the porch, and sitting out there with the whole gang in the evening sharing stories and having good family time. Having the Kayaks, Canoe, and Pontoon boat were a must and everyone enjoyed everything the entire week. We also rented the Jet Ski and would recommend this to everyone. It really added another level of fun to the trip. The entire family wants to come back again next year, and we are already looking at the calendar. I have never stayed on a lake that was so clean, peaceful, and low traffic from other boats. Some days we felt like we were the only boat on the lake! And, I can't say enough about the views! Every day is more beautiful than the next, and the blue skies, mountains, and clear water are breathtaking! I never wanted to leave. My only recommendation: If you have your own live vests, bring them! The vests that were available are definitely in need of replacement, and not enough sized to fit everyone. We forgot to bring out own, and regretted it. Especially if you have young children, I would bring a vest that you know fits them well."

  • Nice Little Escape

"Cabin was great, inside and out. The two porches are great to relax on and provide an amazing view. There are a lot of great places nearby (~20 min), predominantly the NOC which provides rafting opportunities as well as a full bar (as it is a 'resort') as the rest of the small city is 'dry', so be sure to buy beer/alcohol on the way in. Another place you can sneak by getting a drink is at PBR (Pizza by the River) which is on the way to the NOC, just a tip in the tip jar and they'll give you a beer. Only thing that can be improved to the cabin would be a more direct path to the fire pit."

  • INCREDIBLE CABIN !!!

"Words cannot adequately describe this cabin! I was fortunate enough to be able to stay there with my girlfriend for a little three day escape from March 20th -March 23rd. I could not have dreamed that every aspect of our stay would be so completely perfect. The cabin is absolutely wonderful and is extremely clean, modern, well-equipped, spacious and inviting. The lay-out is great and was obviously designed with a lot of thought as there is parking space beside each entry for unloading when arriving and loading when leaving. The gas logs provide a cozy atmosphere and the Bose surround sound makes listening to music or watching DVDs so much better! It was great to relax around the fire pit, but our absolute favorite component was the hot tub! Starting the day with a cup of coffee and ending it in the evening with a glass of wine in those whirling jets...overlooking the lake down below and the mountains all around us gave a new definition to the idea of relaxation. To watch the sun rise...the day begin...or the night envelope the world around you is so soothing. Be sure to have plenty of gas before you head up the mountain! It takes a while to reach the cabin but is well-worth the climb. I am already planning a return visit! This was one of the best trips I have ever had!"

  • FANTASTIC - EXACTLY AS ADVERTISED!

"Don't hesitate in choosing this home for your vacation! We came over for 9 nights from the UK and having rented in the USA via VRBO/homeaway for the last 10+ years, I can wholeheartedly say that this house is exactly as advertised, in fact it's better! The view once you walk through the front door is outstanding and the dock area too is just idyllic. We only had a regular hire car, not 4wd and it was fine. It is pretty remote but there is a big grocery shop in Andrews, as well as a good coffee store. We rafted and zipped at the Nantahala outdoor centre, again not too far away. The lake itself was quiet and so clear and warm for swimming. The kayaks and canoe were perfect for heading over to the little island with the rope swing - perfect for our teenage sons! As was the games room with pool table - plenty of room for us all to spread out. The hummingbirds that visited the feeder on the deck were also a real treat. Go ahead - you won't be disappointed."
