"My husband and I recently spent a week at this cottage. It is very cute and charming. We absolutely LOVED the screened porch and spent all of our evenings sitting out there. This place is great for fishing and kayaking. We used the grill a lot. Just be prepared that the fridge and stove are not full size. We just used our coolers to keep drinks cold. I highly recommend this place for a quiet get-away. If you like adult beverages, bring your own as this is a DRY county. Be sure to walk the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest. It is beautiful. Leann and Suzette are very helpful and accommodating."Guest: Sherri Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 6, 2014View listing
"We just had a FABULOUS week in this comfortable and well-equipped home on Lake Santeetlah. We didn't "want" for anything and, if we did, owners were very accommodating and easy to reach. There was plenty of room and very comfortable beds. Being able to bring our dog was special for us, and our sons were thrilled to have the kayaks to use. As a "working vacation" the dependable WiFi was a big plus as well. We enjoyed star gazing on the deck at night and dinners on the porch at our favorite lake. Steps to dock were the easiest to navigate of any house we have rented on Santeetlah. We enjoyed our rented a pontoon boat, and also rented jet ski's for a few hours. We will certainly be back!"Guest: Marjorie Date of Stay: August 2012 Review Submitted: August 23, 2012View listing
"Nice new large home. Interior was very well done! Great home for fishing in a boat on the lake or from their private pier. We rented a pontoon boat from Jim (aka "The Mayor")(Neighbor) & he also helped us catch some nice fish. Kids had fun in the game room. Great selection of DVD movies, which was nice since there is no Wifi & cell phone reception is spotty at best. Owner was very easy to work with. Returned Security Deposit immediately. Wish we would have known that it is a dry county. So pick-up wine, beer, etc. prior to arrival if so desired. Nice grocery store within 10 minutes. Not too many restaurant choices. There is a McDonalds, Subway etc. The Mexican restaurant, can't remember the name, but there is only one, is actually very good & so is Lynn's Place - these are about your only two choices. The self-proclaimed #1 restaurant in-town "Carolina Kitchen" is closed & no one is certain if it will re-open. Everyone in town was very nice - great people! There was five of us & unless we were doing something wrong we really had to spread out the showers or no one had hot water. The property is for sale & we had some really nice bikers ring the doorbell trying to find out information about the property. Great place for those who like to cook & fish off of a nice deck."Guest: Kurt Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: April 27, 2014View listing
"Just left this house and cannot wait to return. We had three adult couples staying here, there was plenty of privacy for all! The lake was clean and clear and great to swim in! Centrally located, close to white water rafting, zip lines, Tail of the Dragon, boat rentals and much more! Neighbors were great and welcoming! The house is clean with a great set up and awesome deck! We want to return next year with our children and grandsons!"Guest: 1st Rock Screamers Date of Stay: July 2012 Review Submitted: July 30, 2012View listing
