  • A quiet, relaxing week at Lake Santeetlah

"My wife and I spent several beautiful days at this lakefront gem. The home was clearly very well maintained with well stocked kitchen utensils, comfortable beds, excellent decor and a deck overlooking the lake. We spent many hours relaxing, reading on the deck with the appropriate libation for the time of day and occasion - coffee, tea, cocktail, wine and mostly beer. The kayaks allow lots of roaming around the lake and really give another dimension to the experience. A daily walk followed by a swim and lazing out on the dock made for a very special vacation. We have been very fortunate in renting through VRBO, but this is right at the top. The only dining we could recommend is Snowbird Lodge."

  • Fall Weekend

"Really enjoyed staying on Lake Santeetlah. The cabin was great, nicely furnished, clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The best part was being able to bring our dog with us and not have to leave her at a kennel. It is located close to town so we were able to pick up anything we needed and not have to hassle with packing and bringing it from home. Being a photographer the views and scenery are breathtaking with excellent hiking trails nearby. Great roads to ride bikes on too.We rented this property last week while in town for a family reunion. I would definitely recommend this house to my friends and family. It was very roomy, clean and inviting. The house is well maintained and looks just like the pictures portray. The owner was very helpful with all information. I hope to rent this property again in the future."

  • Great views, relaxing place for adults and children

"Very close to the Lake Santeehlah Marina. Use directions on website or GPS takes you in another direction. House is beautifully appointed. Had a great day nearby at doing the zip line and white water rafting. Views are more spectacular than the pictures show. Our children enjoyed fishing and using their boat. Very close to grocery store. Great owner- would stay again."

  • Nice Interior!

"Nice new large home. Interior was very well done! Great home for fishing in a boat on the lake or from their private pier. We rented a pontoon boat from Jim (aka "The Mayor")(Neighbor) & he also helped us catch some nice fish. Kids had fun in the game room. Great selection of DVD movies, which was nice since there is no Wifi & cell phone reception is spotty at best. Owner was very easy to work with. Returned Security Deposit immediately. Wish we would have known that it is a dry county. So pick-up wine, beer, etc. prior to arrival if so desired. Nice grocery store within 10 minutes. Not too many restaurant choices. There is a McDonalds, Subway etc. The Mexican restaurant, can't remember the name, but there is only one, is actually very good & so is Lynn's Place - these are about your only two choices. The self-proclaimed #1 restaurant in-town "Carolina Kitchen" is closed & no one is certain if it will re-open. Everyone in town was very nice - great people! There was five of us & unless we were doing something wrong we really had to spread out the showers or no one had hot water. The property is for sale & we had some really nice bikers ring the doorbell trying to find out information about the property. Great place for those who like to cook & fish off of a nice deck."
