  • Best Kept Secret

"I’ve been renting this place for 4 years now; spring, summer and fall, and everyone I take absolutely loves it! The owners are rarely there but are super nice and friendly. Renting a place right on the water with a dock (I keep a boat at the marina) has cost me 5 times this amount and more, and many of the lake rentals aren't as nice as this place. Why heck... I enjoy it so much that it has created the extended procrastination of my building on my own lot that I bought 10 years ago. It’s definitely the best bargain on the lake, with a dock where I can park my boat, beautiful views and a lot of space and privacy. That’s why this is the only place we rent on the lake now and will continue to as long as it’s available."

  • Awesome Lake Vacation

"On our way home from an awesome week on Lake Santeetlah. The house was clean & accommodating with lots of places for the kids to be on there own. We spent a lot of time on the covered deck, enjoying the cool breeze off of the lake. Gail put us in touch with a fellow to rent a boat which ended up being such a great deal for us! We brought our own tubes & rented a knee board from the marina & spent countless hours on the lake. The lake does not really have a lot of traffic and the water is clean. We were not bothered by mosquitos or snakes! Leave time to Kayak! We found a wonderful place to hike at the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Wilderness-we took the well groomed 2 mile loop that lead to another trail called Naked Ground Loop which we walked for over an hour till we turned around-really could not find on line information about the trails. Wifi is excellent however the cellular service-ours ATT-had no service. Luckily, we had the land line with unlimited long distance which was perfect. Already miss it."

  • wonderful views

"My family of four from naples,fl enjoyed this lakefront cottage with a dock. It was fully stocked, clean and lovely. I would like to see them add the use of a kayak or canoe. Not too far to many interesting things to do as well. Very relaxing!"

  • Nice Interior!

"Nice new large home. Interior was very well done! Great home for fishing in a boat on the lake or from their private pier. We rented a pontoon boat from Jim (aka "The Mayor")(Neighbor) & he also helped us catch some nice fish. Kids had fun in the game room. Great selection of DVD movies, which was nice since there is no Wifi & cell phone reception is spotty at best. Owner was very easy to work with. Returned Security Deposit immediately. Wish we would have known that it is a dry county. So pick-up wine, beer, etc. prior to arrival if so desired. Nice grocery store within 10 minutes. Not too many restaurant choices. There is a McDonalds, Subway etc. The Mexican restaurant, can't remember the name, but there is only one, is actually very good & so is Lynn's Place - these are about your only two choices. The self-proclaimed #1 restaurant in-town "Carolina Kitchen" is closed & no one is certain if it will re-open. Everyone in town was very nice - great people! There was five of us & unless we were doing something wrong we really had to spread out the showers or no one had hot water. The property is for sale & we had some really nice bikers ring the doorbell trying to find out information about the property. Great place for those who like to cook & fish off of a nice deck."
