  • Fabulous Home!!!

"Can't begin to tell you what a wonderful long weekend we had at your home in Franklin. It was beautiful, and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back. Next time we'll come for a week so that we can spend more time on the porch....what a view! Had so much fun exploring the area. Drove to Asheville on our only rainy day. (Went to Highwater Clay to buy pottery supplies) Explored Franklin, Highlands, Dillsboro, Dillard, Clayton, etc. Ate at Dillard House (and found a great place called Lynn's Buffet & Henry's Restaurant)...bought fresh vegetables...perused several pottery and antique shops...hiked behind Dry Falls. Had a totally wonderful time. Thank you so much for sharing this great place with us."

  • LOVED THIS COTTAGE!

"My husband and I stayed at The Orchard Cottage for a few days while our kids were at camp in the area. We had eaten at The Orchard last summer so we knew the location. Never noticed a cottage there. This is one reason why it's so desirable - close to restaurant but doesn't feel like it. The cottage far exceeded our expectations with a great living room that has plenty of seating, wet bar with mini refrigerator, fireplace, TV, lovely bedding with fine linens, large bathroom with plenty of great towels! We had dinner delivered from the restaurant (which is fabulous) and ate on our screened in porch. Loved it! I can't say enough about Chad, one of the owners. He was very accommodating and genuinely wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely want to stay at this cottage again and I highly recommend it."

  • Hidden Jewel in the Mountains!

"Bob & Dawn, just wanted to say thank you for having such a wonderful cabin. Did not get a chance to write in your book, but wanted to be sure you knew we really enjoyed our stay. The cabin has incredible views of the mountains and the weather was good except for one day/night when the rain and storms came in. Still was really nice. We gave my brother and his wife the upstairs master which was huge but they really enjoyed it after a long journey for them to get there. Our downstairs room was really comfortable and the bed was comfortable. The area is really nice as well and we met some of the people who were staying in other cabins up and down the hills and all enjoyed the area. Franklin was a nice little town and had a wonderful greenway walk that you can walk your dog or jog on, with a dog park at the beginning. We ate at a local restaurant one night, El Charro, and it was really good food and lots of it for the price. In fact we had to split orders since the portions were so large. We hope to go back again some day as it was a nice quiet get away and still had things to do and places to go. My brother enjoyed taking a few hours to drive to Harrahs Casino couple of days which he said was the nicest he had seen in smaller areas. He also won more than he spent! Thanks again for allowing us to stay in your wonderful cabin!"
