"We thoroughly enjoyed this property during our week-long stay in the Smokies. Made a wonderful retreat at the end each day full of day trips. We cook in a lot and were happy with all of the kitchen accommodations. We did have a couple of days of inclement weather and often remarked how happy we were to stay in a very clean and comfortable cabin."

"We wanted to escape the heat of the SC coast and visit family in the area and this was the ideal location. The pictures do not do it justice. The cabin was larger than it appears in the pictures and so comfortable. Wish we had booked a two week stay! My husband, a TV junkie, spent every hour that we were there out on the porch. We have a porch at home, but he never spends that much time on it. It is convenient to any activities or sightseeing you may want to do. We went to Helen and Blue Ridge; took the train ride. Unfortunately my husband has a very bad back so we could not hike around the area, but he did walk around the pond several times. I am so sorry we did not book a longer stay!! And again, out timing was off - the Tavern down the street was closed for several days. I think they were doing some repairs. Other guests said it was a nice friendly place and we wanted to check it out. One morning while drinking our coffee on the porch, two of the neighbors jumped in the pond for a swim!! The four legged neighbors. There were three sweet, friendly dogs who would show up every now and then. Five days without the internet did not kill me, although I would have liked it just to look up some info on places in the area. I think this would be an ideal place for a family to "get to know one another" again - unplug from the craziness and play games, hike, relax. I wish I could bring my grandchildren there for a week so the can see what life without wires is like!! Thanks for a great stay!!"

"We used this cabin for several members of our cycling team to participate in the Hincapie event in Travelers Rest, SC. Not a bad drive at all to the event location and what a great place to relax when we returned. Everything and more that we would need to have a great time at our outing - highly recommend !"

"When we were not in the lake, kayaking, we were playing cards in the screened in porch or reading on the dock and also enjoying the views. Perfect lake getaway from our home in Asheville. Less than a 2hr drive.
We look forward to future visits...can only imagine how beautiful the mountains are in the Fall."
