Beautiful Cabin but....
"Let me begin by saying how great the owner of this cabin is to work with. He quickly answered all questions, worked with me when life got in the way of the dates of our original reservation and gave the best directions ever on how to get to the cabin (it’s really, really easy). And when we arrived, the cabin was just beautiful. Everything was as advertised, from the HUGE shower and Jacuzzi to the great pool table and the big screen TV. And we didn’t even know about the babbling brook across the street. And yet, for us, it was like a jigsaw puzzle where all the pieces are there but you just can’t seem to get it to go together. And that’s why I couldn’t give this cabin a 5 star rating. First, the cabin is on a busy road, with work trucks going by from early in the morning till after dinnertime, making a quiet cup of coffee on the porch a bit of an impossibility. Then, very quickly, we discovered the TV only has the most basic of channels. It was play-off weekend and we had NO ESPN (we actually considered packing it in and heading home early)!! The Jacuzzi takes 45 minutes to an hour to fill up if you want hot water so plan ahead for that. And with the shower in the bedroom, it makes it impossible for one person to sleep in while the other gets up and gets ready to face the day. And finally, when it came time to check-out, there were no check-out instructions. We had no idea what to do with the trash or the dirty laundry. I guess as long-time vacation home renters, knowing what to do is something we depend on at check-out time to be sure we leave the place just like the owner would want us to. Of course, these are mostly picky little things and probably won’t matter to most people, but for us, this isn’t a cabin we’d rent again. At least not until we can watch our sports while we're away."

"My wife and I loved staying in Cozy Cabin up in the mountains. We were close to Lake Junaluska for jogging and walking and to Waynesville for shopping and eating. Blue Rooster Southern Grill was our favorite. We traveled to Asheville for the antique malls and up Max Patch Road to wilderness. We traveled on the Blue Ridge Parkway and our favorite road was the precarious Route 215. When our grandchildren came to visit we had both incredible pictures of the Milky Way at the top of Max Patch, 8 miles from the cabin in the wilderness and also of a beautiful ice on the trees one morning. We enjoyed a family campfire in the backyard and hiking up the farmer’s old roads. Haywood County has the highest mean elevation of any county east of the Mississippi! 8” of snow on November 1st was a treat since we are from snow country. Seeing elk up close at Cataloochee Ranger Station was a thrill - surrounded by 6000’ peaks – was only 11 miles away. The hottub was very relaxing both in sunny weather and in the snow. The cabin was cozy and had all the utensils that we needed for a month."

"Loved the two separate living rooms, the decor is great, the beds were comfy, tons of pillows, big dining room table and well equipped kitchen. The owners also provided games for the evening or rainy days.
We will definitely stay here again next time!"
