  • Couldn't Be A Better Place!

"PERFECTION...from the moment we contacted the owner until the moment we had to depart. We originally picked this place for its location, not a difficult road or steep driveway to maneuver. This beautifully decorated cottage was perfectly located for our day trips to the Falls, Cherokee, Blue Ridge Parkway, Biltmore Estate and the many other sights. The nights were peaceful and relaxing.."chilling and grilling". The hot tub helped to soothe our achy bodies from the days hikes. We're already planning our next trip back to Maggie's Cottage. Thank you for everything Sarah!"

  • Our return visit was just as good as our first!!

"We stayed in Thunderstruck Cabin in 2010 at the beginning of spring. This year, we wanted to visit Maggie Valley in the fall to enjoy the foliage in the area. When my husband suggested we stay at Thunderstruck Cabin again, I didn't bat an eye! We love the million-dollar view as well as the homeyness of the inside of the cabin. Everything is exactly as the photos show, no deception anywhere. Sometimes it's nice (but hard) to be disconnected from the world -- no internet service until you get into Maggie Valley. That way everyone has to use real words to communicate! We enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks, Lissa and Scott, for sharing your beautiful cabin with us again!"

  • Incredible Family Trip

"My family and I could not have been happier with this place! It was gorgeous, clean, conveniently located, and more than accommodating. Jim, the owner, was an absolute pleasure to work with in sorting out the details of our trip. He went out of his way to ensure our comfort and made us feel very welcome. The 2 sided fireplace was well used, with plenty of firewood on the front porch. The house is extremely spacious and well equipped with a strong wifi signal and cable TV. From the moment we pulled up to the front of the house, we didn't want to leave! We came in March, hoping to see some snow. And on our first day, 3 hours after we arrived, it started snowing! Cataloochie Ski is about a mile away and Tube World is literally right across the street. The neighborhood looks like something out of a Norman Rockwell painting, absolutely breathtaking, as are the views off the balcony. We are already planning our next trip to this house and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to vacation in Maggie Valley!!"
