  • Christmas in the mountains

"My family and I were so lucky to find this place and have the opportunity to stay here for the week of Christmas 2014. Upon arrival the kids ran thru the door and went running to find their room where they were to sleep for the week. Everything was as described and we really didn't have any issues with the place, the area is beautiful and the surrounding neighborhood is nice and quiet, weather was beautiful the week we were there, cold but not too cold. good communication with the owners and they did great accommodating our group of 7, we traveled to a neighboring town each day and did a lot of outdoor activities ( hiking, etc.) we loved visiting the different places and seeing the natural beauty the area had to offer. we visited soco falls in Maggie Valley, Dupont national forest in ceder mountain as well as Pisgah Forrest near Brevard. all together I believe we were able to see 7 different waterfalls. all of them being absolutely amazing! we also traveled to Cherokee and visited a park right on the river that was very pretty. Don't forget to visit tube world and the ski resort... we all had a wonderful time tubing, skiing and snowboarding. all in all we had an amazing time and my wife and I as well as our kids all have wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. Would absolutely consider staying here again and have talked about coming back during the warmer months to take part in all the area has to offer. Thanks again!!!"

  • peaceful

"This is a wonderful place to stay. It is so peaceful with such a awesome view. We enjoyed just relaxing here and when we did leave the cabin the road up and down is great, well maintained and not steep. The owners are super nice and are right there if you need anything. We have already made plans to return to this cabin and are looking forward to or stay."

  • Great place to stay!

"We have been travelling to Maggie Valley for ten years now with our children during February "in search of snow", and have stayed in many different places. This house definitely ranks at the top. The location was good ~ close to skiing, restaurants, etc. The house itself is very nice, well maintained, spacious and comfortable. And also, which is so important when dealing with a rental, the owner was VERY gracious, helpful, and available. We really appreciated that!"
