"Looking for a fantastic cabin in Maggie Valley? This is it. It's off the beaten trail surrounded by woods and by a running river. Hummingbirds are frequent visitors at the feeder on the covered wooden porch. On the porch you can relax in the rocking chairs, eat your meals at the small personal table, or treat yourself to a good soak in the hot tub. The inside of the cabin is spotless. You have the responsibility of leaving it the way you find it, so in order to preserve the cleanliness guests should and have (based on our experience) accepted that responsibility. It is one of the few places we have stayed where we felt we did not have to wash the dishes before beginning to use them….There is a charcoal grill and a cozy fire pit down by the river. We stayed busy hiking and exploring. The location is great, too- plenty to do for all types. It is a perfect anniversary or honeymoon spot. Cozy, comfortable and quiet. And, as all other reviewers have noted, a fresh lemon poppy seed loaf awaits you in the fridge upon arrival!"

  • Great place!!!!

"This cabin exceeded all expectations. The pictures are beautiful, but they can't do it justice. The cabin has so much hard work poured into it, and you can sense the attention to detail when you walk through the place. The location is absolutely perfect, it is not far away from activities and stores, yet it has the upmost privacy and you don't have to worry about neighbors and noise, which is a rare combination. The owner was up front and honest about everything and a very pleasant man to work with. One fear I had going into this was putting down a deposit and then having one little thing go wrong, only to lose the entire deposit. There ended up being an incident where something was broken with which we did not recall doing, and Ken the owner, was very understanding and worked with us as much as possible. I would highly recommend this Cabin for anyone looking for a relaxing, quiet, beautiful, family friendly place to vacation. You can also rest assured that you are getting what you pay for and more!!"

  • Great Cabin

"The pictures do not do this cabin justice. It is so nice and roomy inside. The description is right about no mountain view, but that would be the only negative. It was so relaxing and peaceful. Easy to get to and close to town without feeling like you were in town. Thanks to the Whitlocks for sharing their home."

  • Loved It!

"We stayed a week while attending a Bible Conference at Lake Junaluska. Looked for a place that would welcome our older Corgi girl. The cabin was perfect for her and the 2 of us. She loved laying on the screen porch and her trips out in the private yard. Although she had her own bed, she enjoyed the doggie bed in the cabin (found it herself when I never noticed it). She also wanted to thank you for the dog biscuits you left for her (the cupcakes for us were great too). The cabin was very cozy inside and there was room outside for us to pull in and turn around with our motorcycle trailer. Plenty of room to park our vehicle, the trailer, and the bike in the drive."
