"We thoroughly enjoyed our time staying in this wonderful cottage. The view from the very private deck was spectacular--the downtown Asheville skyline nestled in the mountains to the left and a beautiful mountain view to the right. The cottage was extremely clean and the owners, Ben and Connie, were friendly and helpful (but never intrusive). This will be our "go-to" Asheville place to stay from now on!"Guest: Ulrich C. "We just finished a weekend at the Blue Boar Retreat to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday. The retreat is everything we had hoped for and more! The rooms are large as shown in the pictures, and all our guests loved having inside and outside access. The main room is spacious with several sitting areas for everyone to enjoy. If you like to cook like we do the kitchen is an absolute JOY! There is nothing you can't do in that kitchen, and with 2 commercial refrigerators you can feed everyone and not run out of room in the fridge. Between that and the large dining room we prepared a plated dinner for over 30 people...unbelievable and so much fun. The outside of the Inn is equally nice, with the pavilion and firepit area overlooking the pond, a great place to unwind. The area where the Inn is located is gorgeous and the drive up to the Inn on the gravel road delivered just as the pictures suggested! We enjoyed the canoes on the lake during our stay as well. This part of the lake is almost completely undeveloped without a house or dock on the lake for what seemed like miles! Some of our guests also went for a hike at Joyce-Kilmer which is a short drive from the retreat. What the pictures can't convey is what a pleasure it was to work with Pam the caretaker. From booking to check-in she was VERY responsive to any and every question we may have had. When we realized we needed a little extra bed space she even helped us book another cabin up the hill, could not have been easier to work with. Thanks Pam for making it so easy! If you're looking for a great group rental in a gorgeous setting, this is it!"Guest: Brian Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 20, 2014View listing
"This cabin was absolutely beautiful. As soon as we walked through the door, it felt like home. I couldn't have asked for anything better. Very quiet, anything you could possibly need was already there. Will def be going back again!"Guest: Kelly T. Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: June 5, 2014View listing
