"We were in town for my sons wedding and needed a place to stay for several days. It was perfect for our family gatherings and hanging out at the lake while waiting for wedding activities. The house is very nice on the inside with a renovated kitchen and bathroom. It was very comfortable. We would love to visit again."Guest: Wedding time Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 18, 2014View listing
"We were looking for a relaxing weekend with friends & family and landed at this property after an exhaustive search. A little bit of heaven has such a welcoming vibe and the moment you step into the cabin, you can be sure of having memorable stay. Things were planned out to every little detail for the convenience of the guests. There was s serious whole home music system setup for the music lovers . with speakers and volume control in all the rooms. The basement had a ping pong table, a pool table and a bunch of other board games. There is a serious library setup for the book lovers. A very cutely decorated home where we could grill, eat and drink on the porch. The porch! the view! that is the best part! The house is on a great elevation that gives breathtaking views of smoky mountains. The clouds were so beautifully placed on the mountains that you could setup your camera there all day and capture indelible memories. I wish home away had a place for me to post pics. I like that there were a bunch of spices were already available for our use and the owner has left a note to leave stuff or refill what we have used for the next guests arriving. Even if you are out of something you can drive down to the neighborhood ingles or walmart which are not too far. The trash dropoff was a hassle and the living room might need a tv (or not), but apart from that - was a beautiful home and we will definitely go back."Guest: Srinivas T. "First of all, who the heck comes to the serenity of these mountains and this cabin to watch TV? And if that's what ruins your whole trip, then maybe you need to re-prioritize. My wife and I have been renting this cabin for almost 7 years. We have our boat on nearby Lake Chatuge, which is quite frankly, one of the best lakes in this country. Shhh, don't tell anybody. The value you receive in this cabin for the money you spend isn't comparable to anything around here. I'm surprised that the owner doesn't charge more for this jewel. Whenever we pull in the driveway of this place, we can immediately feel the pressures of the big city world roll right off of our shoulders. The place is well maintained and we cook most all of our meals at this cabin when we're here. But there are also a couple of decent places in nearby Hayesville if you want to eat out. Especially the Cottage House where the breakfast buffet is unmatched. But the greatest part about this cabin is the outside. Throughout the day you'll see several hummingbirds stop by the feeders. There's a barbecue grill, and a firepit with plenty of wood to burn. And then there's the creek that runs beside the cabin. It ALWAYS has water in it, and the sound will sooth your soul. The cabin is also dog friendly, which is great because we take our babies everywhere, and they love this place too. By the way, the TV works. There's even one in one of the bedrooms, but that's not the reason why I would think anyone would want to come here. But it's another great added bonus."Guest: Hot Rod Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: March 25, 2014View listing
"This rental was clean and really roomy for our 8 member family. The view off the porch is beautiful, and the lake was fun for swimming and fishing and playing in the sand--and catching lizards. It was a great "home" to do lots of sightseeing and other activities. Brevard is a really great little town. Terrific get-away."Guest: Eight in Texas Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 5, 2014View listing
