  • Lake Time Fun!

"We had a great stay the lake house. We packed everything we needed and just enjoyed the lake. Lake Nantahala is very beautiful, quiet, and clean! We did rent a boat, which was brought right to the dock and explored the beautiful lake. Experienced the rope swing, which was a highlight!! The house has plenty of space! We had 5 kids with us and they had a blast exploring, jumping off the dock, and were completely unplugged from electronics! There is wifi, but it isn't enough to stream, which was a blessing for all of us! The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and plenty of space for a few of us cooks. The road is gravel for a few miles to the house, but our Non-AWD cars made the trek without issues. If you need groceries, Andrews, NC is only 7 miles away and the people there are so sweet. There is a great coffee shop in the town, if you need to get out, as well as a large grocery store. The owners have been extremely wonderful to work with and very kind. We hope to return as soon as we can!"

  • Fantastic Vacation Spot!

"This place is something else! Each time I went outside my breath was taken away. The views surrounding the cabin are truly unique. We were engulfed in peace and beauty while we were there. The sunset each evening was better than the last and the stars were the brightest I've seen. The cabin itself is spacious, clean, and cozy. We are big cooks and we found every kitchen utensil and appliance we needed (and more!). The bed was comfortable, I slept like a rock each night. The cabin has great character- many books, antiques and other interesting tidbits furnish it. Another thing about this place is its proximity to attractions. There are dozens of hiking trails very close by and even more if you take a longer drive to the Smokies. We were able to bike on the beautiful country roads to Lake Junaluska. Asheville is just 30 min away by car and has tons of stuff to do and see. The charming town of Waynesville is close by too with good food, beer and shopping. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone. I can't wait to go back again!"

  • Wonderful retreat!

"We stayed at Wesser Heights while we were in the Nantahala area for our annual fall paddling trip and it did not disappoint. As other reviewers have noted, the house was very comfortable and well-equipped. It's proximity to the Nantahala Outdoor Center made it an excellent choice for our group. The house was well-laid out and allowed for a variety of activities simultaneously. The bed in the master suite was one of the most comfortable that we've found in a rental property. The views from all the decks were amazing. We appreciated the hot tub and the provided plush towels after a long day on the river. The free-standing gas fireplace was beautiful and helped take the chill off the cabin first thing in the morning. The hosts and the management company were both excellent to work with and provided a lot of extras to make our stay even more enjoyable. We appreciated all of the instructions and labels which helped us both find items in the well-equipped kitchen and make sure we put them back in the proper spot. We made sure that all members of our party had copies of the driving directions. We agree with other renters that the initial ascent to the cabin is best done during daylight hours. The view is well-worth the climb! All members of our party were in agreement that we'd like to return to Wesser Heights next fall!"
