"As always, this house is like a warm hug! With the woodwork, the comfortable furniture, the well appointed kitchen... with this being our third stay, it's feeling like a home away from home!
This trip was a bit shorter and more laid back. We spent a day touring Warren Wilson College (my son will be an Owl after a gap year hiking the Appalachian Trail), an evening blowing glass at Asheville Glass Center, a quiet afternoon in Black Mountain shopping and hanging out at the coffee shop in town, and a WONDERFUL dinner at Table in Asheville. The right amount of activity but enough quiet time and Internet usage :)
And this time, we made it up the mountain in the back, surprised to find a chair nestled in the woods close to the top!
Al was very attentive and the reservation process and all was quite smooth.
With my son's college plans, we'll definitely be back!"

"My wife and I spent 2 weeks here and enjoyed every minute. The location between Cashiers and Highlands is perfect and the views from the villa are the best. You can also access the trail to the top of Whiteside Mountain from the villa. Probably the most scenic trail in the Highlands area. We would definatly come back. Anne is great to work with."

"I can't say enough positive things about Young at Heart. The views and setting were absolutely breathtaking. As other reviews have mentioned, the pictures truly don't do the view justice. We all agreed that this was the best vacation home we have ever stayed in. We are typically keenly aware of the fact that we're staying in a vacation home, and that wasn't the case here at all. We were just as comfortable as if we were in our own place. It was tastefully and comfortably decorated and very well maintained/ clean.
Our favorite moment was sitting by the picturesque outdoor fireplace with the twinkle lights on overhead and making s'mores while we watched the sunset over the mountains, valleys, and lakes. The hiking and nearby waterfalls are gorgeous as well.
The place itself is an A+, and working with Manning was the icing on the cake. He went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and didn't have any issues. He provided directions, FAQs, nearby restaurants, hiking maps, hiking recommendations, and all of the other information we could've possibly needed. He was a pleasure to work with, which made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. All of the information he provided in advance made me feel completely at ease and not nervous or unsure about a thing in advance of the trip.
We will definitely be back!!! We even talked about making this a yearly tradition."

"I thought the house was very clean and well decorated; the kitchen provided us with everything we needed and then some. The setting was tranquil and lovely. We enjoyed sitting outside with a fire going. My entire family enjoyed the waterfall tour with Craig Miller. He was an excellent guide. Hope to come back in the Fall sometime in the future. I also appreciate the quick return of the refund. Thank you"
