"My family and I had a wonderful time at your house! Very nice! We visited Biltmore, dupont forest, the falls were beautiful! We went to sliding rock and went sliding down the 60ft natural rock! So much fun. Looking glass falls were gorgeous! Looking glass falls is 5 minutes from sliding rock. The sliding rock and looking glass falls is in pisgah farest. Right before the entrance to pisgah forest is an ice cream stand next to a tubing company that the ice cream is so good. We had a great time in asheville and loved the house! Thank you Liz for sharing your home! Rebecca Nolan"Guest: Rebecca n. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 20, 2014View listing
"Six of us that are friends since childhood stayed at the Mountaintop Estate for our annual reunion. We were all turning 50 this year. I have rented at least 10 places through VRBO, Homeaway, Airbnb etc. and this has to be the nicest place I have rented. From the fully stocked kitchen with many extras like spices, oils, and all the general staples that you would have in your own kitchen to the immaculate Jacuzzi with individual chlorine bags to put in after each use, this house had all of the conveniences. The view from both the deck and the Jacuzzi below was beautiful. The owners were very responsive and nice to deal with. Asheville is a great city with amazing restaurants (try Curate for dinner and Salsa's for lunch) and plenty to do nearby. We whitewater rafted on the Pigeon river (Nantahala Outdoor Center is great for that), hiked in Pisgah, and even found a nearby school field to have a Frisbee catch. The only caveat is the climb up the mountain is steep so you need a good transmission and 4 wheel drive in the winter."Guest: David G. "We enjoyed our time at the Blue Shutter and Lake Hiawassee! It was a much needed break from a hectic work schedule. The house is appointed well and had everything we could need. Enjoyed the pool and driving around exploring. Next time we will plan on renting a boat to explore the lake! And we saw a bald eagle flying low over the lake near the marina! Beautiful! Thanks again!"Guest: kitchenmagician Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 12, 2014View listing
"We spent a few days at Serenity on Cedar with family (ages 2-67). The house was perfect in every way. The little kids loved being able to play on the lower level and in the loft! The lake was so peaceful. We rarely saw anyone else on the lake and felt like we were in our own secluded spot. The boats provided by the house really made the trip. We used the row boat, canoe, paddle boat and one kayak. Had a great experience traveling up the lake and we were able to paddle right up to a gorgeous waterfall. A great experience for the kids. The house was well equipped and very clean and well maintained! We will be back!"Guest: Emily E. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 13, 2014View listing
