"My wife and I rented the cabin to spend a quite week together for our 25th anniversary. We have never rented a cabin in NC before but we new what we were looking for. Something quite, in a small community, nice local fare, friendly area, fishing which I like to do and beautiful view of the mountain's. OH I forgot to mention the hot tub which was something Denise really wanted. The owners have a fire pit to cook by or just enjoy a nice warm fire after you get of the hot tub or a dip in the creek. We'll the cabin owners had all of this covered but much more. We did no need to bring anything except our bags. Located on a creek that does from time to time hold rainbow an specked mountain trout, I did mange to catch four trout in the first few days. (keep in mind that fishing is fishing - fish do not always cooperate. To find a few more I had to set out towards Fires Creek and further up Davis creek. Just go talk to some local people to find out, where to go and what to use. Fires creek is a wonderful place to visit an not far from the cabin. We would certainly rent this cabin again and recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a quite place to stay with plenty to do in the area. Great for a family of 4- 6. Romantic, Adventure, sightseeing OH yes and fishing."

"We rented the house as a surprise for our parents' 45th wedding anniversary. They were blown away. The house was perfect for having multiple people and generations with something to do for everyone. The lake was amazing and the dock made it so accessible. The kayaks and SUP were enjoyed by all, and we also rented the pontoon boat and jet ski. Everything was exactly as stated. The fact that we could also let our dogs share in our family vacation made it that much more special. We can't wait to come back!"

"My daughter, 4 grandchildren (all young adults) and I just spent a week in this comfortable cabin and I was so pleased with the house and the area. We spent hours walking the many trails around Sherwood Forest and at the lake. This area is so peaceful, relaxing and beautiful. This is a wonderful place to stay with family or friends, the trail down to the lake is a bit steep but can be managed even for the older folks. The area has beautiful waterfalls and trails, we didn't even have to leave the Sherwood Forest community! We all loved the house and the area! The house is very comfortable, clean and has enough activities to keep everyone happy especially in the rain. I am very happy with my selection and hope to return in the future. I would definitely recommend this house for families with older children or young adults. Thank you for sharing your mountain home with us!"
