  • Tom's place is our go-to place in Asheville

"We have stayed at Tom's great cabin at least five times over the years. Each time, it has been an excellent experience. We often missed our chances to stay here when visiting Asheville, because of its popularity, so I suggest booking early."

  • Relaxing Mountain Retreat

"We had eight wonderful, relaxing nights at this perfect Compass Creek Cabin. The grounds are beautiful with fire pit/plenty of wood/chairs right next to creek, a beautiful large pond, plenty of room inside, fully furnished and comfortable. We enjoyed having the garage for covered parking since it was raining the day we arrived!!! It was easy to find with GPS and centrally located to nearby attractions. We would definitely go back and recommend it for any age group. We had an 86 yr old with some immobility, who had no trouble getting around. No ramps but very few steps. Grounds level enough for walker. Hopefully we will be able to return in the fall."

  • PEACEFUL LAKE RETREAT!!!

"The rental company was so easy to work with, and things with the rental were handled very smoothly. As soon as we all walked into the home we were AMAZED! The upkeep, quality, decorations, cleanliness were all 100% There is no "musty old lake cabin" smell, which worried a few people who have stayed in lake cabins before. All I can say is every room was meticulously clean, beautifully decorated, and updated. There are actually 4 full bathrooms, not 3.5, and the young adults LOVED the downstairs with the Theater room and Pool table. We all really enjoyed the rocking chairs on the porch, and sitting out there with the whole gang in the evening sharing stories and having good family time. Having the Kayaks, Canoe, and Pontoon boat were a must and everyone enjoyed everything the entire week. We also rented the Jet Ski and would recommend this to everyone. It really added another level of fun to the trip. The entire family wants to come back again next year, and we are already looking at the calendar. I have never stayed on a lake that was so clean, peaceful, and low traffic from other boats. Some days we felt like we were the only boat on the lake! And, I can't say enough about the views! Every day is more beautiful than the next, and the blue skies, mountains, and clear water are breathtaking! I never wanted to leave. My only recommendation: If you have your own live vests, bring them! The vests that were available are definitely in need of replacement, and not enough sized to fit everyone. We forgot to bring out own, and regretted it. Especially if you have young children, I would bring a vest that you know fits them well."

  • All that I could hope for and more.

"Bumble Bee Hideaway was the perfect little getaway for us. We drove from Wilmington (7 hours) and were so beat by the time we got there. We jumped into the jacuzzi to relax before bed and it was wonderful. The cabin is beautiful, clean and very cozy. Everything we could have wanted or needed was there. I was especially impressed with the fast Wi-fi. The beds are comfy (I slept downstairs and when hubby snored too bad I sent upstairs into the loft :). The local town of Murphy is quaint and everywhere we ate was absolutely fantastic. You would think with a small town, the food wouldn't be good but that was not the case at all! We especially loved Shoebooties and Parsons Pub. A lot of ingredients like the trout and beef are from the area. The people of Murphy are so friendly too. We felt very welcomed and at home. For recreation we went tubing at Deep Creek in Bryson City (rented with JJ's tubing) and the ride alone through Nantahala Forest was so beautiful and relaxing. You past rafters and kayakers in the river which was fun to see. We also went to Chattanooga for a day (its only 1.5 hours from the cabin) and had a blast. Went to Raccoon Mountain Caverns there and wow, was it spectacular! Well worth the drive. Wished we had time to do the train ride but we did get some pics of the old trains and Chattanooga Choo Choo. Across the street is The Hot Chocolatier. Do not miss it if you love chocolate! :) There is so much to do in the areas around the cabin that I will have to plan better next time. All in all our trip was fun, relaxing and refreshing. We had no problems at all and we definitely be back. The value for what you get is honestly the best we could have imagined. Already recommended it to two people. :) Thank you so much, Ken!"
