"There were few things on my mind, before I planned to book a cabin. Serene, away from all hustle bustle, nice and peaceful nature and most importantly a real dark sky (we are amateur astronomers).
Jimbo's Farm not only fulfilled all of my above expectations, but it exceeded our expectations. The cabin being a classic one, had those doors and frames that remind of the old times. Therefore, it felt as if we were back to our Granny's home (nostalgia at it's best). The huge front yard with a pond filled with trouts give you own little forest like experience, allowing you to take in the clean air, chirping of birds and the gentle sound of water stream all at once. My wife who was apprehensive of the cabin, was mightliy impressed the moment she arrived and enjoyed the stay thoroughly. The best part was, me and brother were praying for a clear dark sky during those three days. And Bingo, it was clear as it can be. Jimbo's farm being away from the city or major town lights, the sky was excellent for star gazing. We were able to see the milky way galaxy with naked eyes. Through our binoculars, we were able to view other deep sky objects such as Andromeda galaxy etc. Night photography was amazing. Over all, it is worth every penny to visit Jimbo's Farm. James and Carolyn were extremely courteous to answer all of our questions and made our stay even better.
This is a definite re-book place."

"The weather was perfect. The promised rain is just now beginning to start as we leave. The cabin was out of the way yet easy to find. Owners answer promptly any questions. The house is cozy and well maintained and the beds are very comfortable.
There is enough dishware for just about anything. The living room is comfortable and welcoming. We had no trouble with the wifi. I forgot charcoal for the grill.
We brought a telescope and were able to see quite a bit despite the tall trees around the house. But they don't obstruct the fantastic view of the mountains. It's wonderful to sit on the deck and see the layers of mountains near and far while listening to a variety of birds.
From the cabin we drove to Smokey Mtn National Park and hiked Deep Creek and Three Waterfalls trails. Then drove up to Clingman's done. The highest point along the Appalachian trail.
The next day we hiked in Joyce Kilmer and then drove to Fontana Dam along the most hair-raising road of my life. But I did realize that this area of the United States is definitely in contention for the most beautiful. I was as amazed as I was the first time I saw the razor cliffs of the Napali Coast in Kauai.
I suspect these parts get quite crowded in summer so we were happy to be here in early April even if the flowers are only just beginning.
I'm pretty sure this cabin is a good pick for any time of year. We'll be back."

"Three Retired friends just finished a week of fishing and staying at "Hooked on Snowbird". The cabin was wonderful with all amenities and Trout related items. Wonderfully clean, and teriffically decorated, all top notch. Very thoughtfully planned, and wonderfully constructed. You are right on the river (25' from deck) Its a free rock river, very clean and hip boot wadable the days we ere there.
Fishing? ? It Was Great! Trout, in our backyard. Rainbow, Brookies, and Browns. We caught fish every day.
