  • Riverfront Retreat

"We had a great time at this beautiful home! The kids loved playing in the yard, hiking, swimming/tubing in the river, and cookouts on the deck. What a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We will definitely plan another vacation at this beautiful home."

  • Seriously Perfect

"We stayed at the 'lake house' for 5 days with our 3 year old son. We have such great memories from our stay...swimming in the lake, exploring the creek, swinging on the rope swing, reading in the hammock, fishing, checking out the geese and other animals (pet rabbit & chickens!) & eating amazing veggies from the garden all made our stay seriously perfect (never mind the fact that downtown Asheville is sooo close & a grocery store is even closer)! We spent two full days in and around lake house just spending time together exploring the area. They even have a waterfall!"

  • Chillin' at Lake Nantahala

"Grace Cottage was a perfect place to unwind, relax, get in a few hikes and generally escape from everyday pressures. The accommodations were very adequate and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The bed in the master BR was firm and comfortable for even a big guy, which was a plus. The deck and dock were two good places to hang out and watch nature do her thing morning and afternoon. The chickadees made short work of the bird feeder contents, which we refilled daily. There was little activity on the lake except fishermen and a few late afternoon boaters, which made for good kayaking. There was the canoe, which we didn't use much. A second kayak would be a definite plus, but we made good use of the one at the cottage. We also hiked several parts of the AT, including Wasser Bald and Wayah Bald. Both are within a 30 minute drive and offer great views from the summit. The hike to Huckleberry Knob on the Cherohala Skyway was also a real treat, about an hour's drive away. We didn't float the whitewater at Nantahala George, but will do that next trip that we hope to make next summer. Grace Cottage made a great home base for all our outdoor adventures. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us!"

  • Everything we could ask for...and more!

"My husband and I brought our cat (!) to visit Asheville for 4 days. This home was PERFECT! We were able to leave the car parked and head downtown for the art, history, food, and bars every day. So convenient to have 2 grocers within walking distance as well! The home is very comfortable with an amazingly cat-friendly backyard. We spent many hours relaxing with a good book while our cat enjoyed exploring. Chimney Rock State Park was also less than an hour drive for a great nature great-away. We'll definitely be looking you up again if/when we decide to visit the area again. Love to bring some friends the next time!"
