"There were few things on my mind, before I planned to book a cabin. Serene, away from all hustle bustle, nice and peaceful nature and most importantly a real dark sky (we are amateur astronomers).
Jimbo's Farm not only fulfilled all of my above expectations, but it exceeded our expectations. The cabin being a classic one, had those doors and frames that remind of the old times. Therefore, it felt as if we were back to our Granny's home (nostalgia at it's best). The huge front yard with a pond filled with trouts give you own little forest like experience, allowing you to take in the clean air, chirping of birds and the gentle sound of water stream all at once. My wife who was apprehensive of the cabin, was mightliy impressed the moment she arrived and enjoyed the stay thoroughly. The best part was, me and brother were praying for a clear dark sky during those three days. And Bingo, it was clear as it can be. Jimbo's farm being away from the city or major town lights, the sky was excellent for star gazing. We were able to see the milky way galaxy with naked eyes. Through our binoculars, we were able to view other deep sky objects such as Andromeda galaxy etc. Night photography was amazing. Over all, it is worth every penny to visit Jimbo's Farm. James and Carolyn were extremely courteous to answer all of our questions and made our stay even better.
This is a definite re-book place."

"The beautiful view is stunning as the house is situated perfectly for a mountain view as well as amazing sunsets. Our extended family had plenty of room to stretch out with grandparents and grandchildren upstairs and parents able to have their own private suite downstairs. The downstairs is filled with light, not a basement feel at all.
We are a family with food allergies which require that we prepare most of our own meals. I routinely travel with many kitchen supplies but they were not needed. One of the best stocked vacation home kitchens we have seen.
We are an active family and were delighted to have so many activities within a 20-30 minute drive - White water rafting on the Nantahala, plenty of great motorcycle rides, 3 access points to the AT, tubing at Deep Creek and horseback riding at Natahala Village Riding Stables. My grandchildren were in tears when it was time to leave, had to promise a return visit next year which I did without reservation!"

"Property is well located with easy access to activities at the same time being quiet and secluded. The owners are great to work with and have thought of everything you might need for an extended stay including a blender in the kitchen, full size laundry, detergent, plenty of towels, supplies. Nearby Ingles market is great for all the grocery you need to cook with. The carpet has seen some years and needs to be replaced.
Nantahalla Outdoor center is quite close and we enjoyed whitewater rafting, ziplining, tubing. We went to Cherookee and enjoyed "unto the hills" at the outdoor theater.
I would give the property 4.5 stars if we were not bothered by the fleas in the carpet and surrounding areas. My dog who has not had 11 fleas in her 11 years was covered in them. I called Bob & Tasha, the caretaker. Bob was very nice and paid for the medication needed and Tasha brought the medicine to me. But the medicine could not work soon enough. I bathed her twice but the fleas would jump right back on her. We were bitten quite a bit too by them."

"Immaculately clean and very well decorated mountain cabin. Tasteful accents include many themes on bears...and guess what...we saw one just down the road during our stay! Everything you need for a peaceful stay in the mountains. Good area for relaxing and hiking. Roy and Debbie were very welcoming and ready to be of assistance should you need anything or have questions."
