  • A great week!

"We had a great week even though we left a day earlier than planned. The weather forecast was dicey and we didn't want to get stuck. You should definitely try to arrive during daylight. We got in late and that hairpin turn is nervewracking when your lights don't go around the corner. We'd love to come back in the spring and fall."

  • Perfect location for rustic privacy and access to the Pisgah and Waynesville areas

"This was the perfect location to access our favorite hiking areas of the Pisgah Forest yet still close enough to Waynesville to enjoy dinner. Even if we didn't get in the vehicle to head for a hike, the area around the cottage offers great walking opportunities all along the beautiful creek that runs directly off the back porch. The cottage is adorable and all you'll need are groceries. There are multiple seating areas along the creek for reading and relaxing. Take the wireless and cable-free plunge and get unplugged! So refreshing."

  • It's All About the View

"With a View -- it's always the top of my list for a vacation rental home. This home's view is stunning! -- not to mention a beautiful home. The home is very spacious -- my husband and I only utilized the main level of the home and did not use the lower level of the home at all. It was immaculate and very tastefully decorated. We could not have asked for more. The home is located between the Asheville and Cherokee areas making traveling to either approximately an hour each way. We visited the Museum of the Cherokee Indian in Cherokee, the NC Arboreteum and the Biltmore in Asheville, the Wheels of Time Museum in Maggie Valley and rode the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad in Bryson City. The Biltmore was the highlight of the sites; however, in my opinion, our view from the deck of the home was the highlight of the trip. We had breakfast in the morning out on the deck as well as dinner in the evenings. The mountain and valley views were everchanging and the sunsets were spectacular. We also had the good luck to see the elk in the area of the Great Smokey Mountain National Park closest to the home. The drive up to the rental is approximately 10 minutes off of the main road; however, it is paved all the way with the exception of the last 1/2 mile which is gravel. You will not go wrong renting this home and will remember your stay for years to come."
