  • Lovely Lakeside Cabin

"We had a great anniversary weekend at this beautifully designed, clean and comfortable lakeside cabin. Close to lots of great hikes and fishing on the lake was fantastic. Will certainly be returning in the future!!"

  • R & R

"My husband, 2 pups, and I spent a lovely Labor Day weekend in this beautiful home! Thad was so generous to leave a bottle of white wine, locally made pork sausage, and biscuits for us to enjoy...and we certainly did! This house was all we had hoped it would be for a relaxing, peaceful, and perfect getaway. We only left the property to get groceries and an ice cream sundae one night. Our Black Lab and Shepard LOVED running around the property and then cooled off in the River! We will certainly return & highly recommend this property to EVERYONE 2 legged and 4 legged!!"

  • Quiet, Beautiful, Luxury in the Mountains

"The first thing about this place was the ease of working with the owners. Rob was very quick to respond to any questions we had and gave some nice suggestions of restaurants to visit in Waynesville. There are a lot of wonderful things about this place. The location is quiet, and although it can be a little tricky getting there, you feel at home and at peace when you are there. The home itself is extremely well built. You can see they paid very close attention to details and used great materials in building it. The downstairs is very nice with the pool table, wet bar, huge fireplace, TV and full bath. It was about 5 degrees cooler down there, which was nice during the warm days outside. Having a garage is nice if you are there during the winter. As you go upstairs to the main level it is also very nice. The outside deck is very large and can accomodate a very large party, although our party was just the two of us. The living area is also huge and open. The acoustics in there is really nice so when you are playing music or have the TV on you can hear it all over the house. The kitchen was really well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, and pretty much whatever you might need, although we were glad we brought our own Keurig. The master suite was spacious and well-appointed. It was easy to see how two small kids could sleep on the window seat because it was very wide. The room had a nice sitting area to read a book or work a crossword puzzle. And the windows that allowed you to look out into the valley was a really nice design detail. There were a few negatives but nothing that would keep us from giving it 5 stars or from coming back. If you are a sports fan and expect to watch ESPN during the fall football season, you won't get it here. The TV in the living room was relatively small for the large space it was in. If you are in the kitchen preparing a meal and want to see the screen it's not easy to see. The TV downstairs is also small and an older model, but again, your not here just to watch TV. The only other thing was the gas grill was left unclean by the previous renter. Not the owners fault. Looked like someone grilled some fish and left the skin on the grill. Couldn't find a wire brush to clean it off. Overall, this was one of the nicest places we've stayed. It's new, it's modern, it's well equipped, and it's the kind of place you can enjoy by being away from it all or you can venture 20 minutes into town and do a lot of things."
