  • Great property and location

"We just returned from a week spent at this lovely home. We booked online without seeing the house in person. What a great surprise! The pictures didn't do it justice. There was plenty of room for our family of 5 plus guests. The kids had the lower level to themselves while we had the upstairs for more peaceful adult time. We spent most of our time on the dock at the great boathouse and the screened porch overlooking the lake. Our kids loved it and like us didn't want to leave. CHECK OUT CAME TOO EARLY! Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us. We will be back."

  • Amazing Lake House!

"We were looking for a house to rent on direct lake front to enjoy time with our family and this house was perfect! The house is absolutely amazing! It's beautifully decorated throughout and has wonderful amenities. It has a pool table and ping pong table, which my kids thoroughly enjoyed, and has a great space in the downstairs area for watching TV, etc. Very kid friendly. The lake is pristine, with crystal clear water and beautiful views. The house is situated on a nice cove on the lake, so you can safely swim and kayak right off the dock without having to worry about a lot of boat traffic. The area is fairly secluded so, even though we were there at peak time in the summer, the lake never felt crowded. We were able to tour the lake on the pontoon boat and take in the breathtaking views of the mountains. It was spectacular! This is truly a second home for the owners and it is clear they take a lot pride in their home and in keeping it immaculate. The owners were great in giving us directions, suggestions and advice. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend this home."

  • Exactly as advertised

"The house was perfect for my wife, daughter ,grandson and our dog Freckles. We arrived late in the evening and found the house to be very comfortable and ready for a good nights sleep. We were able to rest and relax while there and saw a deer with two fawns in the back yard. This is a great place if you want to stay in the Franklin, NC area. Will definitely stay there again when our plans include Franklin, NC."

  • Great cabin and excellent hospitality!

"My wife and I just spent Valentine's day weekend here and had such a great time! We really enjoyed the cabin and all the trails around it to walk with our dog! The owner, Angie, was really nice and brought us fresh eggs from her chickens and flowers for valentine's day when we checked in. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a nice quiet getaway. We will definitely keep it bookmarked for future vacations!"

Smoky Mountains Travel Tips

Settle into Smoky Mountain Cabins

If you are looking for the time of your life, you should seriously consider booking Smoky Mountain cabins for your next family vacation. A Smoky Mountains vacation, in North Carolina, is just perfect for the whole family. Special destinations like Asheville, Brevard, and Lake Nantahala make for lovely vacations any time of year.

Smoky Mountain Cabins near the National Park

When you plan your own Smoky Mountains vacation, do not leave a day at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park off your list! The park is not only a beautiful place with a substantial size, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site as well as an International Biosphere Reserve. Almost 10 million people visit the park each year to bask in the splendor of the flora and fauna as well as to take advantage of the hiking trails. One of the trails is the Appalachian Trail, so definitely do not leave your hiking boots back at your Smoky Mountain cabins.

Smoky Mountains Rentals with Spectacular Views

If you are planning your Smoky Mountains vacation around taking in some spectacular views, this is the right destination for you. Hike up to Clingmans Dome (6,643 feet), which is the highest point in the Smoky Mountains Park; you'll be able to see for miles and miles. Or, if you prefer Morton’s Overlook, it is en route to Clingmans Dome. Morton’s is ideal for a sunset viewing. But do not book Smoky Mountains rentals without visiting Laurel Falls, which has paved trails if you have trouble hiking or a stroller. The hike concludes at the gorgeous waterfalls.

Get Gems on a Smoky Mountains Vacation

The Smoky Mountain area is known for its gem mining, and not just by professionals! Just a short distance from almost all Smoky Mountains cabins are a variety of gem mines. Some are not open to the public while others are. Many people staying in Smoky Mountains rentals throughout the year try their hand at the gem mining parks and come home with the likes of native rubies, sapphires, and even garnets!
