"Another great stay in a great town. We feel so at home in both the city and this house. Can't wait to be back. Andrea is the best."

  • 50th Anniversary

"This home was everything it was advertised as and more - most tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Our 11 member family including 4 kids had all the room we could ever need and no one stepped on anyone else's toes! Proximity to the beach was perfect and the beach equipment plentiful. One day most of us went fishing on a charter boat, caught just enough fish for each of us to have a bite at supper. Another day we drove north to Shackleford State Park for a very different beach experience and some good shell hunting. And the weather was perfect, I'm sure it must have been in the fine print of the contract! Thank you for your role in a very happy celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary."

  • Perfect Getaway!

"Wonderful long weekend escape! We've stayed at several different cottages and cabins within a day's drive of our home and this is by far our very favorite! Everything about this cottage invites the traveler to relax and enjoy. Danna was most gracious and like another reviewer said... she was the deciding factor in us choosing this over another cabin for our holiday weekend. Every need has been anticipated and attended to. Many times when we visit an area we feel we are just getting comfortable finding our way around and its time to go home. Although our trip was short, the care and planning that Danna put into sharing the area with her guests make it easy to get around - recommendations on routes, restaurants and Fred's... she made us feel right at home! The house itself is lovely - from the beautiful stone to the quality finishes throughout. The setting is beautiful with the stream, the trees, the wildlife. The bed is as comfortable as advertised - a real treat. And the hot tub.... Heaven! We ventured into Hickory where my husband took a walk down Memory Lane. Beautiful drive! Grandfather Mountain is not to be missed. We love this house! We're looking forward to a return trip - soon!"

  • Family fun trip

"This home was perfect for our two families. It is in a remote location yet near enough to area attractions. Our boys loved catching fish off the dock, rowing in the lake & late night game playing in the basement. The well stocked kitchen allowed us to prepare every meal. Our group of 8 had plenty of room. We enjoyed wandering & hiking around the neighborhood. Seeing wildlife each day was a special treat for our boys. Thanks again for allowing us to rent your home."
