"I just got back from the best vacation ever with my children and grandchildren.
It was so much more than I expected. Truly a G-d send. Everybody had a marvelous time at the lake. Accommodations were wonderful. Enough room for my grandchildren and there were plenty of them. --- it was so wonderful watching everyone enjoying the lake, nature, sunsets. . . . Karen was an amazing hostess. . . there was everything you could want. . sand toys. . books. toys, even a golf-cart. . . My married children had a wonderful time spending time together, like the old days. . . I live out of the country, and I planned this vacation in April, ---- the kids were a bit skeptical, but now they are already talking about returning next summer. See you Karen---"

"We arrived 7/11, 8 adults and 8 children. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised with the home, lovely furnishings and quality craftsmanship abound. However, the guesthouse was a bit more rustic. I know it was recently completed, but the overwhelming scent of varnish was rough. TheRE is no screen door on the slider or windows that open so we couldn't air it out. Then on tuesday night, the water from the bay rose, leaving the guesthouse surrounded by a moat, and it seeped up through the concrete floor, leaving the occupants scrambling to get their belongings out to the main house. The guest house was them left vacant for the remainder of the trip. We reworked the sleeping arrangements in the house to add the additional adults. My husband and I ended up on a sofa bed that left a lot to be desired. The bunk room also did not have rails to keep whomever was to sleep o the top bunk from falling, so we just moved the mattress to the floor. Those were the only bumps in the road though. We utilized the kayaks and went across to the beach several times. It's proximity to Cedar Point is perfect. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay for vacation. Hopefully the water issue for the guesthouse will get corrected but again we made it work!!"

"We just spent a week at Kate's home...pictures do not do this house justice...it truly is beautiful. It was perfect for our group of 8 women golfers..we were able to enjoy the day on the links and then come back and fix dinner, play cards, enjoy the pool and relax...had everything we needed. Kate was a delight to work with and we WILL DEFINETLY BE BACK!"

"We found this house to be fully equipped with everything needed except personal items. The private beach was wonderful for all ages, especially small children, certainly walkable. The play area was used daily by our grandsons (ages 1 1/2, 4, 5, 8 and 9). The owners are extremely accommodating and available but not interfering. For entertainment, we definitely recommend Monsoon Lagoon, not far, which we substituted for Cedar Point since the kids are young and this place was only half the cost. The all day inclusive pass included limitless bumper boats, mini golf, go karts, water slides and huge water park. And add the African Safari park to your visit - the adults enjoyed it as much as the kids."
