  • What A View!

"I kept our holiday lodgings a secret from my family up until we pulled in the driveway. When we walked through the door my daughter announced, "I feel like I'm in an episode of America's Next Top Model!" We were immediately impressed and looking forward to spending Thanksgiving at this beautiful home on the causeway. Even though the weather outside was not great for activities (20 degrees & snow!) we had a wonderful time. The home is open yet inviting, modern yet warm. Radiant heat cement floors, gas fireplace & lots of solar energy kept us slipperless even in late November! You can see the lake (and/or the bay!) from every room and the pictures here show the house as it truly is. This home has all the amenities you need for a great vacation. Just be advised that if you are going in the off-season many restaurants are not open but cooking in the kitchen was so fun it didn't matter but if you need some great local food head to Pizza House East!"

  • Awesome!

"We had a group of 12 friends stay for three nights at the Stanford House and could not be more delighted! The kitchen is great for groups to pitch in with cooking and dishes, the rooms were large enough for us and the entire house was clean. We LOVED the bonfire outside in the evening. Great vacation!"

  • When life gives you lemons make lemonade and come to Carolyn's wonderful condo to unwind & relax!

"Beginning with my first phone contact with Carolyn, our five day mini get away was wonderful! Carolyn took the extra time to give me every detail about the condo to accommodate the needs of our family. Carolyn and her husband met us when we arrived with a warm welcome and showed us around their property to make sure we knew about the heated swimming pool, the hot tub, exercise room and laundry facilities. When we walked into the condo it was beautiful and the view is incredible!! Lake Erie at its best, where you can see the birds soaring, big freighters going by and incredible sunsets! Thank you Carolyn for being so attentive to every detail to make our experience in your home so very nice! For a five star get away, Carolyn's Chesapeake Loft is the place to come!"

  • Clean & Cozy Cottage

"We stayed at this cottage over Thanksgiving with our family. After our original reservation fell through we scrambled to find a place to stay and thus our reservation was very last minute. The owner was very accommodating. The cottage was very clean and the perfect place to stay in the winter - with its cozy fireplace. I would highly recommend staying here."
