Catawba Island is a small township community on Lake Erie in Ohio. The township is just a short drive away from the Eerie Ottawa Regional Airport; it is a public airport but it does not host commercial flights. The nearest major airport is in Cleveland which is approximately 70 miles away. The Cleveland Hopkins International Airport hosts most major commercial carriers in North America and has frequently scheduled flights to the major cities in the U.S. This would be the airport you would use if traveling from an international destination or from across the states.

A second smaller airport that is closer to Catawba Island is the Toledo Express Airport which is located 10 miles west of the city of Toledo on the far western point of Lake Erie. The airport hosts a variety of commercial airlines on regular regional flight schedules. Most visitors to Catawba Island are from Ohio and the neighboring states of Indiana and Michigan. There is a good road network and driving to your vacation home is one of the most convenient ways to get there. If you do happen to be flying in, you can always arrange a rental car upon arrival.
