"This house has been our go-to for a weekend wine getaway with friends for the last six years. We find it clean, comfortable and well located in Geneva, and the owner, Stacey, has always been very responsive and accommodating. And, as dog owners, we love that we can bring our furry companions with us.
While the house does have just about everything you need, there are a few planning tips I want to leave for future guests:
1. The oven is half the size of a normal oven. It fits the equivalent of a 9x13 baking dish, but regular sized-cookie sheets will not fit. So, if you're planning to cook for a large group like we do (8 people), I would recommend bringing a crock pot or plan what you bake accordingly. There are two oven racks, however, if you want to double up.
2. The grill outside is a park-style charcoal grill. It's small and you have to bring your own charcoal. Again, bring a crock pot or plan accordingly if you want to grill. A few years ago there was a larger gas grill, and it's been our hope that this will be replaced.
3. There is not an ice maker or ice trays. Bring ice.
4. The fire pit is awesome. Just be sure to bring wood, kindling and newspaper. There is a home down the street (right after you turn on 307 from 534) that sells fire wood for $5 per bundle.
5. Have a great time!"
