"I just got back from the best vacation ever with my children and grandchildren.
It was so much more than I expected. Truly a G-d send. Everybody had a marvelous time at the lake. Accommodations were wonderful. Enough room for my grandchildren and there were plenty of them. --- it was so wonderful watching everyone enjoying the lake, nature, sunsets. . . . Karen was an amazing hostess. . . there was everything you could want. . sand toys. . books. toys, even a golf-cart. . . My married children had a wonderful time spending time together, like the old days. . . I live out of the country, and I planned this vacation in April, ---- the kids were a bit skeptical, but now they are already talking about returning next summer. See you Karen---"

"I'm sitting at Abigail's as I write this. My seven-year-old is playing soccer with his grandmother on the huge private landscaped lawn, which is a few short steps down a path to a gorgeous gazebo on the lake. We have spent many a quiet evening at the gazebo watching the waves, enjoying a glass of wine while my son plays with sparklers or bubbles.
The cottages are so much more than you'd expect from a little lakeside cottage, with beautiful hardwood floors, newly equipped kitchen, cozy bedrooms, and screened-in porch for pest-free eating. For rainy days they have dish t.v. and wifi. The places are immaculately kept by a friendly (and hard-working!) woman named Star. Fresh towels, and clean linens are also a part of the deal, along with a well-stocked kitchen (we found paper towels, paper plates, cutlery, wine glasses, and grill-ware in great condition). I also have to add that typically I hate hotel/cottage beds and tend to not sleep well, but that has NOT been the case here!
Perhaps the only downside is that folks strolling the strip frequently walk by and gawk at how great this place is! It truly is a gem. Not only are you on the lake, you're literally a block away from Eddie's Grill and all the great things there are to do on the strip, no need to drive anywhere. A really fun, affordable, and relaxing vacation spot with all the amenities you could hope for."

"8 of us rented this house for a scrapbooking trip. Within 30 minutes we had furniture moved to one side and had 10 - 6 foot tables set up (we did have to make a quick trip to big lots to get extension cords for our table lamps and cri-cut machines). Takes about 5 minutes to get to Cedar Point and 10 minutes to get to most of the shopping and restaurants (via a car). We ate at Brick Oven Pizza and loved it (specialty wood fired pizzas). El Patron was also yummy. The first level was all open and made it easy to converse as a group. The view was "spectacular" (water on both sides)! View of Lake Erie from top deck in front of the house and of the bay from ground floor in back of the house. The kitchen was stocked. Downstairs was decorated nicely. Second level bedrooms were a little dated but clean. My only recommendation would be to put up a window treatment in downstairs bathroom... since on the first level it was unsettling to have a clear window with no treatment on the one side. Price is right on this rental :) Definitely recommend."
