"It is so nice to stay in a place with this type of vintage quality. We had a farm in Chatauqua, NY growing up and it is reminiscent of this house. Great place to get away and have good old-fashion outdoor fun with the family or board games inside. There is TV and internet but the nostalgia of the place will make you want to read or have intelligent conversation. Loma (the owner) is great and easy to work with. I would consider moving back to this area later on down the road. Highly recommend."

  • Celebrating turning 60 in September

"We had a great time. The condo was beautiful, clean & spacious. Being that is was out of season we were still able to find a place to dance, a few good places to eat and somewhere to watch the Browns beat Tennessee. The private beach area was great for our evening campfire. Only issue we had was no wifi code. Looking forward to making this an annual event! Thanks again for the very lovely condo,it exceeded our expectations!!"

"The bed seemed unstable. We were afraid to move in it. One of the slats underneath the bed came out but my husband managed to put it back. I slept well in the bed but he did not. We are not lightweights either though he weighs 240 and I'm 190 so.... Everything else was fine though It was very difficult to get the recliner to go back to it's non reclining position."

  • Thank's Scott.

"When we travel, we look forward to seeing what the accommodations look like. We also bring a satellite radio. Scott's place, the room was great, but we could not get a signal (no matter how hard we tried.) We called Scott for advice, and he was kind enough to offer to move us to his penthouse unit on the 4th floor. We were floored by how beautiful the unit was, and we couldn't move our stuff up there fast enough, and the radio worked perfect. This is a great example of the kindness, and friendliness we encountered the whole stay. Scott did not have to do this, and just shows us that there is still people who put the customers first. Thanks, Scott we had a great time and will always remember your kindness."

Lakeside Travel Tips

Enjoy Ease and Comfort with Lakeside Vacation Rentals.

Lakeside lodgings provide you with the comforts of home without the trouble of a hotel. Your Lakeside rental will give you a full home to enjoy instead of a hotel that gives couple of beds and a cramped desk. These houses can provide the perfect base for exploring all of the various sights and attractions of Lakeside.

You Can See the Best of Ohio's Nature from Lakeside Lodging

Lakeside itself rests on the edge of beautiful Lake Erie. It offers great swimming and sailing right off the town's coast. Just minutes away, you can find the Lakeside Daisy State Nature Preserve, which includes the only natural home of Lake Side Daisies in the United States. Visit East Harbor State Park, which sits just as close. It has numerous hiking and biking trails along with the requisite beaches for swimming and boating. If you're in great shape and feel adventurous, try the four-mile swim to Kelley Island. If you're not in the mood for a difficult swim, a ferry can bring you over so you can grab lunch at one of the fantastic restaurants.

Lakeside Lake Houses Let You Mix Up Your Adventure

Lakeside itself started as a Chautauqua which was a religious education movement from the 19th Century. It has kept up its strong history of education and offers education programs on everything from religious faith and the Civil War to yoga and sailing. You can change pace and, in a short drive, visit the Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, which has some of the best roller coasters in America. If you want to relax close to your Lakeside lodging, the town offers both shuffleboard and miniature golf for a low price.
