  • Wonderful Owners Eager to Share this Labor of Love with Their Guests

"We just rented this property for a family vacation. My wife and I, two of our daughters and their husbands, and two grandchildren had a most memorable stay here. We rented the entire guest house at the rear of the property. The property is older (built on an old winery), and John and Chrissy are pouring their heart and soul into making it one of the best places to rent on KI. We were close enough to town to enjoy all the festivities, yet far enough away to feel comfortably secluded as we sat on the private beach around a fire each evening. This was our first family get away with the young grandkids. We thought about going to the Outer Banks, but decided Lake Erie might be a better first choice. We are so happy we made that decision. We'll be back again, for sure! In fact, my wife and I are already talking about just the two of us booking there when we need a short R&R. The lower level studio in the guest house is perfect for that!"

"ROCK of AGES!!!!! We took this literally because our group consisted of the youngest being 6 months and the eldest ______? Read on. This place is amazing. Words cannot express the beauty in the home and all the added touches Marla gave to our family experience. We were there to celebrate the 90th birthday of our mom. She thought she was going to a quaint bed and breakfast but when she walked in the place she thought it seemed huge. When she turned the kitchen corner to look into the living room there in front of her on the beautiful wooden banister stood 40 family members to greet her. In the background one heard the song "Happy Birthday" being played on the grand piano. Out the front windows one can see Lake Erie, frozen at this time of the year. The kids in our group loved making snowmen and just being outdoors taking in the ambiance of the snow falling from the sky. The first floor had room for everyone to sit, visit, eat, do karaoke, reflect, and just connect with all. There were three areas to sit back and do whatever. The second floor was amazing with each bedroom having its own bathroom. It was so cozy under all of the warm feather blankets and yes having your own bathroom to share with no one was grand. The third floor brought more excited for the cousins got to room with each other. The girls loved the pink bedroom with the cool ceiling. Some of the boys slept in the extra family room on that floor. They had to watch one more movie before they fell asleep. Little to their knowledge they feel asleep 15 minutes once the movie started. The game room in the basement lead to many ping-pong tournaments. If that was not enough fun, you could also challenge each other at a game of pool. The kitchen was well equipped and nothing was lacking at all for our family pleasures. My mom loved her surprise party and all of us enjoyed visiting family members that came for afar. What a neat place to rent out for these special memories. Thank you for all that you did for our family and opening your home for others to enjoy too."

  • Perfect Retreat (or any occasion) Setting!

"We had our church leader's retreat at this beautiful home. It was the perfect place to unwind, relax and be inspired. The home itself is beautifully decorated, warm and spacious. The setting of the home, atop a hill overlooking Lake Erie, is spectacular! The living area is large and open, and connects to the kitchen which is very well equipped. The layout allows for many people to gather and be together. This area also boasts walls of windows, so even when you are inside you feel like you are outside. Our visit was 10/30-11/2, so we had all kinds of weather, sunny & brisk to rainy & windy. All of it was beautiful and very much enjoyed by all. I can't imagine a bad time to stay at this beach home. Every season would be a delight! Definitely one of the premier homes on Lake Erie! Much thanks to Jennifer and Mark for sharing their home with us!"

  • Holiday Family Retreat

"Our extended family had a wonderful stay during the winter holiday. Although we understand the house is more frequently used in the summer, the owner was extremely helpful at arranging our stay in December. The house is an excellent example of modern architecture, with an airy, open upper floor allowing our family of 11 people to all be together, cooking, eating, playing and enjoying panoramic views of water on both sides of the house. Our kids played in the yard, on both beaches and throughout the house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stayed. Extremely highly recommended."
