"My husband, two daughters and seven grandchildren spent two nights in this lovely house. The kids had never been in a house designed like this and had a blast playing hide n seek! The yards and grounds were beautiful. We used the front porch for our Wednesday night devotional, drank our morning coffee and watched the kids play each day. We knew that the house did not have air conditioning and we are wimps, the daytime was a little warm but the nights were just fine....it is July! The house has beautiful woodwork and was a joy to visit."

"We stayed at the Dodge House the first week of July 2015 with our adult children and their families, a total of eleven people. We enjoyed our stay greatly. The three apartment configuration gave all the families separate spaces and plenty of room. The house, perfect for Put-in-Bay, itself is a fine older property with a lake view located far enough away from the busy downtown but close enough for an easy walk. The kids loved the large front yard and found plenty of places for hide & seek and general running around. The wide porch was excellent for morning coffee, lunch and just relaxing any time. It is also next door to the Crew's Nest, a kind of local country club that you can join during your stay for access to the pool and restaurant. All the apartments were clean and well kept. The only issue was slow and weak wi-fi but that was offset by the fact that we were at >>Put-in-Bay<< so we took it in stride.
We have already recommended the Dodge House to a number of people and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Everyone in the family wants to go back."

"We arrived 7/11, 8 adults and 8 children. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised with the home, lovely furnishings and quality craftsmanship abound. However, the guesthouse was a bit more rustic. I know it was recently completed, but the overwhelming scent of varnish was rough. TheRE is no screen door on the slider or windows that open so we couldn't air it out. Then on tuesday night, the water from the bay rose, leaving the guesthouse surrounded by a moat, and it seeped up through the concrete floor, leaving the occupants scrambling to get their belongings out to the main house. The guest house was them left vacant for the remainder of the trip. We reworked the sleeping arrangements in the house to add the additional adults. My husband and I ended up on a sofa bed that left a lot to be desired. The bunk room also did not have rails to keep whomever was to sleep o the top bunk from falling, so we just moved the mattress to the floor. Those were the only bumps in the road though. We utilized the kayaks and went across to the beach several times. It's proximity to Cedar Point is perfect. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay for vacation. Hopefully the water issue for the guesthouse will get corrected but again we made it work!!"

"Our family has a week together every other year at Kelleys Island. This was our 7th visit to the island and our 3rd time staying in this condo. The condo is big enough for people to spread out. The kitchen is well equipped which is important to me. The deck is large with a picnic table and a good gas grill (good grills are hard to come by at most of the condos). We bike ride, take walks/hikes (there are many trails on the island), swim, kayak at the state park, visit the library, walk around the glacial grooves....the list goes on and on. There are good restaurants on the island. If you are interested in this condo, book early."
