  • Lovely wine-tasting weekend getaway.

"We really enjoyed our trip to the Geneva/Geneva-on-the-Lake/Ashtabula area this past weekend. The house was extremely clean and the beds were comfortable - something you don't always find. When the furnace failed, the owner was responsive to our needs. Some parts of the house could definitely use a make-over, but for such a short time, this wasn't a problem - everything was very comfortable."

  • Great Location On Lake Erie.....

"My husband and I have family in Vermilion Ohio. We decided to visit Labor Day week. I went right to VRBO looking for a one bedroom cottage on Lake Erie near Vermilion. My search lead me to Kate's home located in a community called, Vermilion on The Lake.. I called Kate when I saw it was open for the dates we wanted, we confirmed things on the phone and booked our week. Prior to our arrival I called Kate to find out if there was a fitness center or a YMCA near by. Kate was helpful and gave me the good news that there was a YMCA five minutes away and a fitness center 10 minutes away Upon our arrival Don ( Kate's Husband) stopped by to be sure we had everything we needed. The cottage was cozy and has a great patio overlooking Lake Erie with a huge picnic table which was great for the family picnic we had on Labor Day.. To our surprise there was a little country store right across the street , great for last minute ice, soda, ice cream etc... A short walk was a private beach for this little community the cottage is located in... The near by neighbors were very friendly and took some family pictures for our family of 6 on labor day... Upon our arrival we also found a basket of gourmet coffee and tea packages and some fresh danish... yum... The bath towels were really big, soft and great for the many showers we took with the hot week we arrived to.. The kitchen had all the things we needed to put together our lobster bake for our visiting family... We even had an a/c in the living area and a separate one in the bedroom. Best of all were the wonderful breezes coming off Lake Erie and the beautiful views... Paul & Doris from the Finger Lakes in New York"

  • Mixed Feelings

"The condo was very nice and was accurate regarding its location description and the pictures are accurate also. I would have referred this property because of its location, view, and actual condo BUT we had some issues. First, the master bath had hairs in the bottom of the shower and hairs on the sink when we checked in. Second, we came to relax so when other guests kept us up Friday and Saturday night, we were not happy. Saturday night we called the property manager 6 times and supposedly the cops came out 3 times. The bass from the stereo next door vibrated our condo from 3 to 6 am and then began again at 930 am. No one seemed to care. Natalie said she would make things right and would be to talk to us before we left. We never seen her!!"

  • Best Place to Stay in NE Ohio

"We are originally from the area and visit family often. We usually stay in a hotel, but this time we opted to stay here instead because it was an extended visit. We have three young, energetic children, and being cooped up in a hotel is always stressful. We had THE BEST time staying here. We were so comfortable, it felt just like being at home. There was plenty of space for everyone to stretch out and have privacy. Our kids really loved the little sitting room because they could play there while we were watching TV in the family room. Having a full kitchen and laundry room saved us so much money and we were able to eat much healthier and maintain our normal routines while traveling. The apartment is spacious and decorated beautifully and the furniture (especially the pillows!) is all very comfortable and most of all, very very clean. The warm cookies each morning were such a nice surprise. The Fabers are incredibly warm and gracious hosts and their garden is beautiful. We will definitely be back! We've told everyone we know about what a relief it was to finally find a relaxing place to call home while traveling."
