  • Nice and Peaceful Vacation Home with View of Lake Erie

"Enjoyed the comfortable and clean home setting of this cottage on the lake. Our grandson loved his summer vacation here away from the city. Easy access to additional beaches, parks, and attractions in Vermilion, Huron, and Sandusky. Cottage is well stocked with kitchen cookware/dishware and the bath/bedrooms with linen supplies."

  • Great Condo, Great Vacation

"Our group consisted of 5 adults from 3 families. Condo was perfect for us w/ a bedroom, public area and bathroom on each of three floors. Condo was well-maintained. Downtown Port Clinton was within easy walking distance. We had an unobstructed view of Lake Erie and the beach from both porches. Only three negatives. 1) Dining room table only seats 4 w/ no other seating available on that floor; 2) condo is on East Perry Road which is Route 163; traffic was usually heavy and noise level high; 3) Never could get on the secure wi-fi network with our laptops, Kindles or I-pads; since all we were doing was surfing the web we used one of several open networks available; since it was not a problem for us we never contacted the owner. The entire group had a great time. We went to South Bass Island (Put In Bay) for a day, biked the North Coast Inland Trail from Elmore to Fremont and back, played disc golf and biked at East Harbor State Park, visited African Wildlife Safari and tasted wine at Mon Ami Winery. Dined at the Moose Lodge twice (sorry, members only). Breakfast at A la Cart was memorable. Before we arrived we made a list of activities we wanted to do; there was so much to do in the area that we never made it through the list. The owner was always accessible via email and phone. She was quite helpful w/ her recommendations on attractions and dining. All in all we had a great vacation in Port Clinton and this condo was a major reason why we did. I will recommend to relatives and friends."

  • All we hoped for and MORE !!!!!

"I cannot say enough good things about our family week-end at The Grand Tara Lodge. Not knowing what to expect ..... we took WAY more than we needed. When visiting again, all we'll need to take is our clothes. Everything from linens to cookware ..... all that we needed was supplied. We were concerned about the forecast for our week-end but it turned out to be absolutely perfect. The only drawback was the fact that we spent all our time by the pool and really didn't have time to enjoy all that there was to do indoors. There is not one activity any of us could think of that wasn't available for us to enjoy. Thanks also to Kelly for his quick response to any questions/concerns we had prior to our arrival. I'd definitely recommend this spot to anyone ..... !!!! Loads of family memories were made !"

  • Excellent Vacation

"Wonderful home with quiet charm and all the amenities you could need. Very nice neighborhood- quiet and peaceful. Stacey has stocked the house with everything you could possibly need. Dishes, bedding, towels- I cooked for 11 people the first night we were there and had plenty of everything!! We were very pleased as were our family and friends. Spent a lot of time outside in the fenced in backyard with our dogs. They loved it as much as we did even if they never caught the squirrels. Couldn't have wished for anything more!! Will definitely stay again when we return to Ohio."
