"Went to Columbus for an OSU game and found this gem. Only 20 minutes from the stadium this property was perfect for our group. Great pool and hot tub. We enjoyed grilling out in the backyard and playing bags."Guest: john c. Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 8, 2014View listing
"I don't usually take the time to fill out a review, but this is an exception. I have been coming to Ashtabula for some 15 years to walleye and perch fish. Always staying at an area motel. You know how they can be at times. About 4 years ago my boat captain told me about The River View, so I decided to give them a call. What a difference!!! I along with my fishing partners and grandsons have enjoyed every stay. The location is perfect, only 2 minutes from the boat. It is the most relaxing place and is always as clean as a pin. Instead of being stuck in a motel when not out fishing or eating, we have all enjoyed the quiet relaxing time setting outside watching the boat traffic or even playing corn-hole out in the yard. We have come to know the owners also. What nice people they are and they are the type that I want to spend my money with, not a chain motel where the people could care less who you are. Well, I could go on & on but I'll just tell you that this is a great place to stay, with people who will become your friends and do everything to make your stay a pleasant one. "We enjoyed a week at this house bringing together Five adults and 6 children from 3 families. The house provided plenty of room and we may return next year with two more adults and another child. There are two large living rooms and a large sun room with plenty of room to spread out with kids watching one of the two televisions, games being played and some of us reading or talking. The kitchen is well supplied and we cooked in every meal. There is a super Walmart about 2 miles away as well as a Giant grocery store. The kids had a great time on the sandy beach and we used the kayak and paddle board provided by rental. There is also a large yard in the back that worked great for outside games. The property is on a quiet street and the property extends to the lake."Guest: Lucas Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 9, 2014View listing
