  • Enought space for every one

"Our recent stay at The Bunk house was all it was advertised. Well stocked in all areas and it couldn't have been any cleaner. Everyone could retire to their room or join the crowd in the large main room. We stayed there during my daughters thesis show and our first chore was to bake some cookies and other food for the show and we found all the kitchen wares we needed. We had a large group for dinner one night and it worked out great. Close enough to town but far from the craziness that some times happen in town. The setting is very beautiful. Did I mention clean? Chris and Jenny are great owners to rent from. I highly recommend it."

"This vacation rental was everything we had hoped it would be! The house was exactly like the pictures (even better), immaculate, and very well stocked with everything one would need. Ours was a multi-generational family vacation, and having bedrooms on different floors was ideal. The beach was wonderful, along with the playground area for the grandkids. It was very private and just a short walk from the house. Neighborhood was quiet and the people were very friendly. We would love to come back again in the future. Thanks VRBO for the perfect family vacation!!"

  • Girls' birthday getaway

"I and 3 of my friends stayed here for the weekend. I graduated from Hocking but hadn't been back to the area for a few years. I loved how close this property was to everything and that it was nature/environmentally friendly (although no designated spot to put any recyclable materials, just a compost pot near the kitchen sink). We had 3 deer by the pond our first morning there and turkeys the second morning. The giant jetted bathtub in the master bedroom was phenomenal and gave me a quick power nap before continuing on our hikes. We had some problems finding batteries for all the remote controls, so we just used the upstairs' DirecTv remote for the downstairs tv as well. Played pool, used the hot tub, watched both TVs, sat out in the screened-in gazebo while we went through some area flyers and planned our trip out. I hope anyone that stays here has a good of a time as we did. I highly recommend using the utility drive as opposed to the first drive you come to near the dumpster. I was driving my Jeep and still had some trouble making it up the first drive since parts of it have been washed out and leave quite a drop off if you accidentally come off the driveway too far. On our way out, we had noticed a car with a lady, man, and child in it driving towards the house (they had to back down the utility drive so we could get out). Not sure if this was the cleaning staff showing up, but it was around 10:30 and check-out time was 11am. Like I said, I'm not sure if it was the staff or just random people driving up to the house to check it out. Thanks again for a wonderful stay and memories to go with it! -Cheryl"
