"We LOVE this house! It has everything and MORE than you need for a fabulous vacation. While there are many things to do and places to go in the area, the best part of this property is spending time at the house. The relaxation and fun begins with early morning coffee on the dock, a walk on the beach, playing in the perfect, sandy bottom lake and wrapping it all up with a sunset dinner on the lakefront porch. The view is spectacular! For our adventurous guests, who still have the energy, it's a short walk down to the Erie Kai Tiki bar. That's always a fun way to end the day.
The owners, Mark & Jennifer go out of their way to make you feel at home. They're IMMEDIATELY responsive to any issue that needs attention. They also provide information regarding local restaurants and attractions that gets you up to speed quickly regarding lots of local activity.
The house has plenty of room for our friends and family and we try to give them each an opportunity to join us for a day or two. I assure you, once they've spent a day with us at Mitiwanga, they put next summers Mitiwanga dates on their calendar. For all of us, it's been too much fun and created lots great moments and memories!
If you're looking for a VERY SPECIAL place to stay for a weekend, a week, or even a month, put this house at the top of your list!"

"Words can not describe this place. My wife & I were more than blown away by the cottage. Owners were more than kind and made sure that all of our needs were met before they left on their own trip. Definitely recommend this place for a nice getaway."

"If you find yourself in the Cincinnati area, you should definitely stay here! This studio apartment was great for me and my husband, who were looking to get away for a few days. It's located on a street that has a lot of charming Victorians. If you walk just up the street, you can look around Eden Park, which has a free art museum and a Conservatory/Butterfly Garden which is only like $4 per person.
A lot of the other reviewers took cabs or Uber, but we drove and had a car, so we would often drive downtown, which is not even 7 or 8 minutes away. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Cincinnati is very friendly towards new to town drivers like me; I wasn't anxious at all! It's verrrrrry unlike Atlanta, which, let's be honest, just sucks, as far as driving goes. 😂
But I digress. This 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom setup was perfect for us and we had just enough of a kitchen to prepare a meal, had we wanted to, and a fridge and microwave for keeping/preparing leftovers. We didn't take advantage of the backporch, but it's a nice touch---wooded and secluded for privacy, even close to the city!
We discovered a lot of awesome places near by, like Mount Adams(reminded me of San Francisco with its hills) and Mount Lookout. Our favorite place we ate at the entire time was York Street Cafe, which is just a hop and a skip over the bridge in Covington, Kentucky.
This is a wonderful place to stay and a lot more affordable than some of those fancy hotels right in the heart of the city; can't beat it!"
