  • The Lodge At Strayhorn Cove

"This place is AMAZING went with family & friends had a wonderful time. It's nicely decorated with plenty of space for everyone. Great it didn't have WiFi totally unplugged and everyone was outside having fun. The place was immaculate and would definitely come back in the near future."

  • Beautiful!

"We enjoyed our couple of nights here. The owner was available by phone to address all of my questions and concerns. She was so easy to work with and so kind. The view isn't as great from the deck as I had hoped, but it is simply amazing down by the dock. My husband was concerned about the concrete dock and the shallowness of the water right there in the cove, but it all worked out fine. The boys played in the water and we went tubing. The neighbor was able to show us where to park our boat and to tell us which part of the lake was safest for our water activities. The house/cabin was very nice and clean inside. We had a good time and would certainly consider staying here again. I wouldn't recommend it for people with physical limitations as far as being close to the lake, because there are a lot of uneven rocks and surfaces to cross to get down to the lake/fishing area. Also, the boat ramp is not right next to the cabin, but rather a short drive into town."

  • Little piece of paradise on Lake Tenkiller

"I agree with other reviewers that said that this place is even better than the pictures we saw on VRBO. The layout was perfect for four (sometimes five) family travelers. Each bedroom had lots of privacy. We also loved the layout of the kitchen. We cooked a lot, but we could look out at the living room (and the lake) and carry on a conversation with those in the other room. So well appointed with every imaginable convenience. My cousin and I hiked every morning. We found a trail nearby, but also enjoyed hiking the paved roads. We found that there are a lot of houses in this neighborhood, but felt very secluded in Matt's Old Cabin. We went off-season, and I think we probably preferred it that way. Found some great shopping in Tahlequah and even great little boutiques in Gore and Vian. It was a wonderful trip, and we agreed we want to come back. Soon."
