  • Fantastic House

"This house is exactly as the website describes and as "Wonderful"s review. No hidden unpleasant surprises. Plenty of Space for "Our 10th Year Traditional" Beach vacation with family. Stayed 8 nights with 13 of us, ages 8 to 69. Grandkids loved Boogie boarding.playing in the sand right off the deck. The house was well stocked with everything imaginable, spices.linens and extra clean towels only a phone call away. Had pizza at Central Station right in Waldport, vey good. Went into Newport for most activities.Brought our own crab pots and had a Great crab Feast from our Catch in the Bay. You will Love this house!"

  • Wonderful Week at the Beach with Gray Whales

"We had a really lovely stay at this great house on the bluff with unobstructed ocean views. We watched the Gray Whales over breakfast, surfers riding the waves, and we walked the beautiful beach below for hours every day. We have never seen our dogs so happy (or tired!). We were so fortunate to have 65-70 degree weather in mid-October at the coast, and we soaked up every ray of sun possible. We spent lots of time watching the Gray Whales at Boiler Bay, just north of Depoe Bay; they were quite close to the rocks, and there were several at any given time (no Dramamine required). J's Fish and Chips (just up the street) has fabulous Clam Chowder, and their various types of Fish and Chips are some of the best we have ever had! For a nicer meal, Blackfish Café and Bakery is some of the best food around; make a reservation, especially if you are going for dinner on the weekend. If you are looking for the freshest seafood and reasonable prices for dinner 'at home', go to Barnacle Bill's for Crab, Prawns, Fish, and amazing smoked salmon. Rogue Brewery in Newport has great beer and a nice menu as well; bring your Growler for a fill. The house was clean, and check-in was a breeze. Vickie was very friendly & helpful throughout the entire booking process. The kitchen was well-stocked (note: the one cookie sheet does not fit in the oven) and they have a charcoal Weber grill (BYO Charcoal, etc.). There is a table and chairs set available for dining outside. My one gripe is that there wasn't any kind of outdoor lounge furniture for that amazing, sunny deck. It would have really added to the experience to have a couple of nice lounge chairs for reading a book (or napping) to the sound of the pounding surf below. There were two (broken) Adirondack chairs in the garage, and one day during our stay, somebody came in and got them. Fortunately, we were not in the house with our dogs at the time. All in all, we would stay here again, and would recommend this property for a quiet getaway."

  • Ya Ya Sisterhood

"Five dear friends got together and stayed at this lovely home. It was perfect and we so enjoyed the lovely windows looking out to the ocean/spit. We also enjoyed the Credence Clearwater Revival concert. We plan to return."
