"We came here for 3 nights in April 2015. The property is nicely located with direct access to the locally-known "Hobbit Trail" and has a distant, unobstructed ocean view (visible in the VRBO photos).
We found the property to be clean and well-appointed, but odd in some unexpected ways, which the pics do not show well. For one, the bathroom is tiny, sans fan, with literally no space between the toilet and the wall on one side; definately could use some updates. Another was the heating situation on the main floor - basically the fireplace or a ceiling-mounted heater in the dining room. It worked, but took us a bit to figure out how best to keep things comfortable.
The upstairs bedroom is large and attractive with lots of natural light - clearly a new addition or recently updated. The bed has a comfortable memory foam mattress and is a giant king, but as a result, is sagging in the middle (looks like they tried to reinforce it underneath but didn't quite provide enough support). The other bedroom was also large with a king, and comfortable per my mother (who stayed 2 nights).
There were lots of movies provided (DVD and VHS, I believe), and board games as well. The main living area is small but comfortable, there's a large dining room table, and the kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans/utensils/etc. No pet smell though dogs are allowed (which as dog-owners, we appreciated). And the owner was friendly and responsive when contacted.
All in all a decent place, just no real "wow-factor," so to speak."

"My family and I spent a fantastic 4 nights at this cozy cottage! We needed some time away from home, and this location was perfect. It's just a short trek to the beach, so even with my back and leg troubles I was able to make the walk. It's a bit of a hike down the steps at the end of the street, but well worth it for some quality time at the ocean.
We spent a lot of time in the house, cooking, relaxing, and playing games. We also traveled quite a bit up and down the coast--the location is great, and the price was excellent! The owners were very communicative and helpful throughout the whole process, and we really enjoyed our stay. With options like this, I don't understand why anyone would stay in a hotel."
