  • Women's Retreat

"Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was clean. The property manager was more than helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The weekend weather, company and the house was beautiful. The view was breath taking, and location of the house to the beach was perfect. We tried to BBQ first night and the BBQ did not work it is very old and rusted very disappointed in that. Dinner for our guest was over an hour late. Kitchen is small when cooking for 13 people. But the dining room table was awesome that we could all sit together. The hot tub was cold the first night but very relaxing once we got it hot. We were doing Yoga and went to roll up the rugs and there was an inch of sand under the rugs so we left them in place. Outside windows were filthy so we cleaned the ones on balcony so we could see the ocean. Not the cleanest house I have stayed in but overall not too bad. We had nine cars and were told it was city ordinance we could only have 4 cars parked there but other homes around this house has way more than that. So not sure on the rules there, not convenient to park at the casino and having to run over and get cars when needed. On a positive note the furniture was nice and beds were very comfortable."

  • Long Overdue Beach Getaway

"The pros: This house was the perfect beach getaway. The house was clean and very comfortable. There were a ton of books to read, DVDs, a foosball table, gameboards, stereo, TVs, and a lovely fireplace to keep the house cozy warm, and a really fun hot tub. Despite the beautiful sunny days we had during our vacation, the windy Oregon beach wasn't as much fun, there was plenty to keep us entertained at this house. I didn't plan on cooking because we expected to try out the local eateries. However, because the kitchen was fully stocked, we were inspired to just stay in and cook most of our own meals. The kitchen had just about everything...rice cooker, frying pans, and even a boiling pot to cook crabs. They even provided a crab cracker! My only complaint about the kitchen was maybe one of the spatulas needed replacement, it looked very overused and the plastic was deteriorating. Other than that, the kitchen was 99.9% complete. We didn't try the BBQ grill nor the oven, as we had no time, so I don't have an opinion about it. The refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher all worked fine. The beds were all clean and we slept okay in it. I liked how each of the bedrooms had their own thermostats, so we adjusted the temperatures as necessary. The photos are exactly the way they have it pictured. The cons about the property: There were some pet hairs in certain areas of the bedrooms and living areas, though it wasn't bothersome. The streets are very narrow and the rental agreement when you check in says "no street parking". However, the other homeowners in the development who own the private homes are parked on the street. This house had a narrow one car garage, and surely did not accommodate for even a small SUV. We were told to park on the small driveway in the back, one that I actually would not even consider a "driveway", it was so short and narrow. It was impossible getting in and out when other people parked in the back alleys. Parking was the biggest issue with this rental house. Overall, it was a wonderful house, very close in proximity to the outlets, the eateries, grocery stores, parks, hiking were all within 3 miles or less. I loved the decor inside, it was really bright, airy, and very "beachy". The management staff were all very friendly and accommodating, even told us which restaurant to avoid and recommended others. I definitely recommend "Our Happy Place"!"
