  • The perfect beach view!

"The Beachcliff house has been built into the surrounding landscape and vegetation very thoughtfully. It has a beautiful view of the ocean surrounded by plenty of plant life that gives the property balance and beauty! We loved it! Future guests should be informed of the treacherous stairs down to the beach. These proved challenging for both us and our dog!"

  • A comfortable quiet place to stay.

"Good location to beach. We spent at least 3 to 4 hrs a day on the beach. Very quiet neighborhood even over July 4th. This place provided us the comforts of a home while on vacation (that didn't make us poor just to stay for a week.) We were glad to see a griddle to make pancakes, bacon and eggs for breakfast/dinner. The BBQ was also great. We enjoyed using it for our small family Fourth of July BBQ. Our kids used the sleeping bags and pillows that were provided. VERY GLAD there was a fully stocked washer and dryer area! We would stay again if this place was available for our next vacation."

  • Big Chill Reunion Oregon Style

"We are a group of travellers in our 50s and 60s who met 5 years ago in Europe. Our homes are in Canada and in the US. We have managed to get together as a group at least once a year in places like Palm Springs, New York, Colorado and cruising the Danube. This year’s reunion was held at The Sanctuary at Seal Rock. After reading the other 5 star reviews, we felt confident in making the booking one full year in advance. Dennis was very easy to deal with and answered all our emails and phone calls quickly. Payment arrangements were easy. When we drove up and caught our first sight of the house…or rather of the pounding surf in front of the house…our breath was taken away. The sun was shining; the air was unseasonably warm for the first week of October and we were WOW’d. Three bedrooms are ocean front but the fourth bedroom is ocean view with a great view from the windows so no one will be unhappy with their accommodations. The master suite however is the crème de la crème with a gas fireplace, HUGE glass shower, and HUGE deep tub. The kitchen is equipped with cutlery, dishes and glasses for 10. The huge pantry is stocked with staples, spices and we found little extras in the fridge like condiments. All appliances are new and high end. The house is well equipped. We used the kites provided, did two of the many jigsaw puzzles, played cards, had a cozy fire on the one foggy day, walked for hours on the Cove when the tide was out and after a full day of exploring nearby Newport, Depoe Bay and Waldport, were happy to come ‘home’ and have dinner in. We ate at ‘Georgies’ in Newport and ‘Tidal Raves’ in Depoe Bay. Both were excellent. For something very different and unique, try out ‘Jamie’s Dockside Diner (#1 in Waldport). There is a Safeway’s and Walmart in Newport, and Ray’s in Waldport for all your supplies. Activities close by: walking for miles on the beach at Seal Rock State Park; searched, and found, agates in Ona Park; visited the Yaquina Lighthouse; shopped in Nye Beach. Don’t miss the glass blowers at ‘Glass Blowing Gallery’. Our reunion was another success full of fun, lots of laughs, great food and friendship. Many wonderful memories were formed and much of the credit goes to the warm homey atmosphere created by the luxury surroundings of the Sanctuary. Special thanks to Renee the housekeeper for leaving everything so neat right down to the lovely fresh floral arrangements and chocolate kisses on the pillows. Thank you Dennis!"

  • Incredible!

"My sister booked this house a year ago and started putting together a family reunion. 3 siblings from San Diego traveled to visit the family who lives in Oregon. Nothing could have prepared us for how truly breathtaking everything is about the house-and the view! There were 15 of us and we all had plenty of space to be together or alone if we needed. The house has a "healing" vibe that welcomes everyone. Cooking the meals together in the chef class kitchen and eating them at the dining room tables with the backdrop of the Pacific Ocean was indescribable. We are already planning on going back!"
