  • Very highly recommended spot

"We were two families who had a reunion here for 4 nights, and we have only positive things to say about our experience. The setting was spectacular, and the house was very comfortable for our group. We brought food and ate all meals there, and we found the kitchen very well-equipped. (FYI: The gas grill might be fine for simple hamburgers or hotdogs but there wasn't a lot of temperature adjustability for fish and chicken.) The beds were extremely comfortable, and the showers were totally great. The photos on the vrbo site are accurate: there is a gorgeous ocean view and it has a very private feel -- you do not see your neighbors at all. It's just a few steps to the sand with incredible wind-formed dunes and a long lovely walk to tidepool activity at low tide. This was a perfect spot to meet with old friends: not fancy where you worry about anything breaking, but a very functional and thoughtful space that allowed for hanging out and had sweet details with driftwood and some lovely art. The owner was super-responsive and helpful when we had questions. We recommend this space highly and would love to be able to come here again. Thank you very much!!"

  • A comfortable quiet place to stay.

"Good location to beach. We spent at least 3 to 4 hrs a day on the beach. Very quiet neighborhood even over July 4th. This place provided us the comforts of a home while on vacation (that didn't make us poor just to stay for a week.) We were glad to see a griddle to make pancakes, bacon and eggs for breakfast/dinner. The BBQ was also great. We enjoyed using it for our small family Fourth of July BBQ. Our kids used the sleeping bags and pillows that were provided. VERY GLAD there was a fully stocked washer and dryer area! We would stay again if this place was available for our next vacation."

  • WOW!!!!

"I can't begin to count how many time my sisters and I exclaimed, "WOW!!!" at the Cove at Seal Rock. From the minute we pulled into the drive way we were awed by how big and beautiful the house was. My sister said, "We must only have one floor..." No! it's the entire house, which was luxurious and impeccably decorated. When we went out back and looked at the view we were speechless. It was low tide, sunny and magical. The pacific ocean with sea lions, seals, pelicans, huge colorful star fish and brilliant sea anemones and bald eagles were literally directly out the back of the house. No wires, no obstructions!! We arrived April 30th and stayed till May 6th. We were lucky enough to experience many weather situations. It rained one day so we went to the bead store in walking distance and spent the day watching the storm from the beautiful living room and made jewelry. During the sunny days we ran along the coast from north to south like little kids in wonderland. The 4 sisters converge once a year from Long Island, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Utah. We have never found a property that could hold a candle to the Cove. Dennis, the owner, was beyond helpful and generous. He left a list of places to go and things to do on the counter of the incredible kitchen. There were fresh flowers and everything you could ever need in the kitchen. The decor was high quality art, blown glass, candles, soft blankets, soft rugs, and cozy fire places. We spent a day on the beach right outside the back sliding glass door and walked to Elephant Rock were hundreds of birds were nesting. On the way back we sat in the sand and watched sea lions from 50 feet away as they basked in the sun on the rocks. What a special trip... we will be back! An owner that trusts the world with such a precious property attracts trustworthy people. The pictures we took during this trip made a slide show to music that is jaw dropping... of moments inside and outside the house. 15 pelicans flew by in formation right outside the window and contracted and expanded into graceful lines as we listened to Philip Glass. That was a swirly, synchronistic moment if ever there was one! Thank you Dennis for a week we will never forget... WOW!!!!"
