"Our stay at this property was fabulous! The house is very clean and well cared for. The beach is a short walk up a trail in the sand dune and down to the beautiful, quiet beach and ocean. Our family enjoyed a great deal of time on the beach, as we had unseasonable warm temperatures almost our entire stay. The bedroom setup worked great for our group (11 adults and 6 kids, ages 12-4). We enjoyed the master suite with a very comfortable king-sized bed, and bath with a large jetted tub and shower. Four additional bedrooms with queen-sized beds (2 downstairs with a bunk bed for the kiddos) accommodated our group perfectly. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of dishes, utensils, flatware, pots and pans, etc., for any meal you plan to prepare. Every small appliance we thought of was provided, even a crock pot for our fresh clam chowder. Our grandkids had a great time in the game room. There was also an ample supply of board games and books for those wanting more quiet time. This home and location provided an ideal destination for our Family Reunion. We plan to add this to our “visit again” list."

  • Wonderful family vacation on the Oregon coast

"My husband, two young boys, my parents, and my in-laws all stayed at this house in Waldport and had a wonderful time. Even my sister-in-law and her boyfriend and my cousin and her husband came for a few days. It was a fantastic place for a family gathering! The house is very roomy and comfortable, and the extra refrigerator upstairs is a bonus when needing to store food for such a large group. The view from practically every room in the house is amazing and the sound of the ocean was very calming and relaxing. We loved how close the beach is and the convenience of being able to walk right down to such a private stretch of luxeriously soft sand. We enjoyed many walks along the beach and our boys had fun making drift wood forts just down from the house. The fire pit in the front yard was a big hit! To be able to sit around a cozy fire, making smores, and enjoying the beautiful sunsets and starry nights with the sound of the ocean was wonderful. The hot tub was also a bonus, although it would be much nicer if it were out doors. There were lots of supplies, such as outdoor chairs, towels, blankets, and even sleeping bags provided, and the washer and dryer really came in handy. The only things I see that could be different were that the master bedroom bed was way too soft and the house didn't seem quite as clean as I would have hoped upon arrival. An added bonus would be if the "very" small bedroom/office (which we didn't find a use for) were to be converted into a small bathroom so that everyone didn't have to use the master bathroom when on the main floor. It is quite close to the highway, but we never heard the traffic from the house due to the wonderful sounds of the ocean. The property is also very nice and large so you do not feel like the neighbors are too close, especially since there isn't really any neighbor on the South side of the house. The beautiful flowers around the yard were also a very lovely bonus! All in all, we had an absolutely fabulous time and definitely hope to return to this place in the future!"
