  • Inn at Sandcastle Beach

"Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very nice place, not fancy but very serviceable. Excellent management staff at Ocean Odyssey. A few things were over stated in the description. "Gourmet" kitchen was electric stoves, they had a fair selection of pots and pans but nothing gourmet about it. It also listed a BBQ but that was two tiny old round charcoal grills. The house has a capacity of 30 and the grills have a capacity of about 6. Fortunately we found this out in advance and brought our own BBQ equipment. Overall it was a very nice place, everything worked and everything was clean and the location was great. Manager responded on 7/7/2014: Thank you! We are working on getting a bigger BBQ or two there."

  • Cheerful Cozy Cottage

"My daughter and I spent a wonderful week in this pretty little cottage nestled in the woods on the coast. It was very snug and well kept, and had all the amenities that we needed. The decor is a neat eclectic mix of different themes and styles. We were still discovering interesting details right up until we left. The grounds are beautifully maintained - my favorite view was out the kitchen window to the garden. The path to the stream had many charming items of interest along the way. The path to the beach is lovely too and we had such fun exploring there. The southern end has many rock features with tide pools and shells and even agates. The northern end is bordered by 10 mile creek which is shallow (maybe a foot deep) and easy to cross at low tide. There were many shore birds congregating there, taking advantage of the slow moving creek to bathe and even snooze. The central coast has many amazing geological features and feels less touristy to me than the top of the coast, where we usually visit. We will definitely return in the future and hope to stay at Camp Yachats again."

  • So Good the First Time, We Came Again for 15 Days

"We spent a week at Shell Haven in 2012 with family and friends, and enjoyed it so much that we returned this year for a longer stay which was even more enjoyable. Sweet Homes folks are very friendly, efficient, and easy to deal with, and the property is on a quiet, well-kept street with a view of the Yachats River, the village beyond, and the ocean. It is quiet, clean, well-equipped, and ideal for either good or inclement weather. The outdoor hot tub has a 4-poster canopy above, and I spent many pleasant hours there as the rain and wind whipped across the coastline. Highly recommended, and we will definitely return again."

  • LOVED this Cozy Coastal Cabin!

"We have stayed in several VRBO properties and have never been disappointed... this A-frame is our NEW FAVE! SO warm and cozy and inviting. We felt like we were in the mountains though the ocean was a few yards away. The woodstove was easy to use with plenty of firewood stacked outback. The loft bedroom and crows nest are so unique and restful spaces. My body and soul felt so nurtured from our short time in this special home. The kitchen was stocked with nicer dishes and cookware than we usually see at rentals. We really enjoyed the location, too. It was our first time to stay in Yachats. Instant fans! Small, quiet, artsy vibe with a few shops and grocery store easy walking distance from the rental. We are already planning our next visit which is a first for us. We like to explore and never stay the same place twice. We found it that special and relaxing! (note ** the captain stairs to the loft and the ladder to the crow's nest definitely require people to be physically capable of climbing. The downstairs bedroom is easily accessed, but it was way more fun and adventurous to use the loft and crows nest!)"
