  • 3rd stay and have booked a 4th

"See my previous review. Simply the best. After 3 stays we still find cool stuff that we didn't see before. This trip went down to the dock and visited the mated swans. There is even a rope swing into the river for the young manly types. You can cook anything in the kitchen. Foodies will go nuts for the stove/oven. Great golf nearby and you don't have to pay Sunriver/Pronghorn prices."

  • spring break ski trip

"This was our first trip to Bend and the condo was in a great location. We were 20 minutes from skiing at Mt Bachelor and 5 minutes from most of the great restaurants in Bend. Condo was in very good condition and the complex was not very busy given the time of year. The hot tub was much appreciated after 3 long days of skiing. Heating element in the dryer needs to be replaced, otherwise everything worked as promised. Close to grocery store, ski gear rental, coffee, and recreational opportunities."

  • Elegant, modern house in BEST location in Bend!

"My husband and I spent five days here over our anniversary in October. We've stayed in 4-5 house rentals in Bend and this has been the BEST, hands down. The location can't be beat - literally steps to the Newport Market, a 5-min walk to several of Bend's best restaurants and cafes (Chow, Backporch Coffee, trendy Spork), a 10-15 min walk to downtown and also to popular 10 Barrel brewery (and The Lot, a great pod of food trucks - with beer!), and a short drive to NW Crossing, which just opened a branch of one of our favorite bakeries in the entire world, Sparrow Bakery. It's also just a 5-10 min drive to gorgeous Shevlin Park which is filled with aspens and dog-friendly running/hiking trails. We ran there every morning. The house is just as incredible as its location. First, it's super eco-friendly and the architecture is unique. The materials are beautiful including the polished hardwood floors and the stone (river stone?) doorknobs. Second, the overall layout works really well for privacy and space if you are traveling with a large family or several couples. There are two levels and the staircase leading to the second floor divides the second level into two very separate areas - one with the MBR and HUGE bathroom and the second with two smaller but lovely bedrooms, a full bath and a washer/dryer. Third, the downstairs living area is very comfortable. The kitchen looks brand new, was fully stocked with everything we needed, and had lovely finishes and high-end appliances. It would be a great place to entertain. Finally, it seems very dog friendly (yeay!). We didn't bring our dog on this trip but would do so in the future. A lot of rentals are more what I'd call "dog tolerant" but this one seems truly "dog friendly". The only two downsides are the stairs (if you or your dog have any problems with stairs) and also that the yard is on the side and is small, though it is fenced in. There's a reserved parking spot (not really needed in Bend but appreciated) in the back and even though the house sits on busy Newport, noise was not a problem. The house does not have views. Brian, the owner, was great to work with - very responsive and friendly, so BEND! We especially liked that the house is keyless - we used a four digit preset code (that we chose) to enter the yard and the house. Overall ,we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and plan to stay again on a future trip."

  • Peace and quiet while close to plenty of action!

"This is our second visit with our family of 18 including an 8 month old baby. We rented both facilities which gave our grandchildren (tweens and teens) a place to themselves. They enjoyed the freedom it provided and could enjoy each other without being around so many "older" folks. The facility has plenty of room for everyone. The entire place was comfortable which made it seem like home. It was very relaxing to tie our boats to our private dock and just float in place, enjoy each others company, have a few drinks, and tell some tall tails. We also took the boats up river and floated back to our dock. Such fun with some nice scenery to boot. There are plenty of activities close by from hiking, lava caves to explore, lakes to fish, white water rafting (a little bit of a drive but well worth the effort) and other things for all ages and abilities. Some of us just totally enjoyed the peace and quiet without going anywhere. We saw eagles, hawks, cranes and many other birds and wild life right there. I would highly recommend this place and am looking forward to a return stay in the future."
