  • Magical

"We were stunned by the beauty of this location. The house is also very nice, with a great floor plan and quality details throughout (bedding, towels, kitchen supplies, etc.). You're also walking distance to the best bars and restaurants in town...and as other reviewers have said, when hanging out in the backyard, you feel as though you don't really need to go anywhere else! Thank you Lorlee and Thomas for an excellent experience."

  • Psychologist

"The house was perfectly located on the cliff above the Deschutes River and downtown Bend. The Athletic Club of Bend was 5 minutes away, ideal for tennis and physical workouts. The house was suitable for outside entertaining and comfortable relaxed living, fully furnished. All Bend has to offer was within easy accessibility."

  • Fantastic (with just a couple downsides)

"The place was great. The location was perfect. Very convenient to the little downtown (walking distance). Also - just a block from the park. Just 3 complaints however: First, a major selling point to us was the hot tub given the time of year we were going to be there - it was not until we arrived that we realized the hot tub was not in working condition. It would have been nice to be made aware of the issue prior to our arrival - for nothing more than courtesy. Second, toilet paper (or lack there of). we had one complete roll for the 5 of us for 3 nights. No big thing - we bought some at the store - but this was just a little thing that i would expect to not have to deal with at a vacation rental. Last, there were some small cleaning issues that would have been nice to not have to deal with (such as coffee maker was packed full of used grounds from the previous guests). All of these complaints are minor - but they did begin to add up. With all that said - the place was quite wonderful!"

  • Great base for extended family vacation

"A great place to stay. Architecturally interesting house on a great lot with wonderful places for our dogs to explore. Everything was clean and in good condition. The enormous TV with movies on Blu-ray came in handy when bad weather limited our skiing plans. Kip was also incredibly welcoming and generous - even left us a bottle of wine to enjoy."
